On time and moving right along was the comment happily shared by both the City of Black Diamond and Enumclaw School District regarding the building of the new Black Diamond Elementary School. Currently the estimated $22 million project is looking to be completed in August 2017 – just in time for the students to begin classes in September. Over the next couple of weeks in October, backfilling will be nearly completed, along with the last two concrete pours. Walls for the 2 story structure will then begin by early/mid-October as well, giving the project more of a look that the school building is really underway. For more information including photos and artist renderings of the project as it moves along, please see the Enumclaw School District website at: http://www.enumclaw.wednet.edu and go to Capital Projects and Construction Updates.
