Memorial For Mountain View Fire & Rescue Firefighter, Ken Ward

5814e3fd41883-imageThere will be a memorial service for Mountain View Fire & Rescue Firefighter, Ken Ward on November 1st, starting at Noon, at the New Life Church in Renton, WA (15711 152nd Ave SE, Renton, WA 98058). The memorial will also be streamed live on www.livestream.com/nlchurch

We ask that people make donations to the Washington State Council of Firefighters. These donations will help with the cost of the memorial service and can be sent to the Washington State Council of Firefighters at 1069 Adams St. SE, Olympia WA. 98501 in Honor of Firefighter Ken Ward. Any funds over the amount needed for the memorial will be donated to the Washington State Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

We welcome all first responders along with anyone that helped with the search of Firefighter Ward to attend the memorial. This service will honor Firefighter Ward with various fire service customs so we can all pay respect to our fallen brother and his family.

Ken Ward went missing on October 15th from Roslyn, WA. Various fire and police agencies along with over a hundred volunteers spent a week looking for Firefighter Ward. An off duty police officer found Firefighter Ward on October 22, 2016 near Wild Horses Monument in Grant County. Members of Mountain View Fire & Rescue retrieved Firefighter Ward from the Grant County Coroner Office and brought him home on Wednesday while multiple fire and law enforcement agencies paid their respect during the three hour journey.
