Black Diamond

On October 9 at 8:37 p.m. on the 31200 block of 3rd Ave., officers were dispatched to a traffic accident involving a deer. The reporting party stated he witnessed a driver strike a deer and then pull over to the side of the road. Upon contact, it was determined the male driver was under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs. The driver was booked into the Enumclaw Jail.

On October 6 at 8 p.m. on the 32200 block of 5th Ave., officers received a call of a possible court order violation and were asked to call the reporting person. Officers called the female, who stated that she drove to her ex-boyfriend’s house a few months ago to drop off his belongings and he was at the residence. The subject was informed that the court order has not been violated if she chose to drive to the residence of the respondent to drop off his belongings. The subject was informed that she is not allowed to have any further contact with her ex-boyfriend.

On October 6 at approximately 7:06 p.m. on the 28900 block of 233rd Ave. SE, officers received a call regarding a suspicious person. Radio advised that a person dressed up as a clown knocked on the door to a residence. Two juveniles were home alone and called their father when they saw the clown standing at the front door. Before officers were able to conduct an area check for the suspicious clown, the home owner called back to request a cancel. The home owner stated that the subject dressed up as a clown was their neighbor.

Covington

On October 9 at 3 p.m. on the 17000 block of SE 270th Pl., a male and female were observed entering a business and then splitting into two different directions. The male took two boxes of jewelry, a pair of men’s jeans and wallet before placing the items in a backpack. He was also observed taking toddler items as well as girl’s socks before exiting the business without attempting to purchase the items. Meanwhile the female, who was known to have a Trespass Letter, was observed taking kid’s items along with other items throughout the business. She was contacted at a fitting room she had been seen entering. When she exited the room, she was wearing the unpurchased clothing item. Both were observed taking tags off their items. The male was booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) for investigation of Theft, 3rd degree and the female released on a health issue pending filing of charges for Trespass, 1st degree.

On October 8 at 4:35 p.m. on the 17400 block of SE 272nd St., a male left his wallet on the driver’s seat of his vehicle while he went into a business for a few minutes. Upon return, the male saw another male standing by his vehicle looking in a wallet. The male stated it was his wallet before leaving the scene.

On October 1 at 5 p.m. on the 17100 block of SE 272nd St., while running the plates of a vehicle in a business parking lot it was learned that the registration was expire. Upon contact with the occupants, the male dropped a lighter and foil, he had been holding, in his lap. A female, who had been observed smoking a pipe, was detained, and a male passenger with what appeared as a large machete next to him was also asked to exit the vehicle. After admitting to smoking heroin, search of the vehicle revealed what appeared to be heroin along with other drug paraphernalia. Check of the male revealed he had two warrants for Theft, 3rd degree. The male was booked into SCORE on his warrants. The female and other male were released at the scene. Case forwarded with a recommended charges for both the female and first male of Attempt Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.

King County

On October 13 at 10:41 p.m. in the area of SE Petrovitsky Rd. and 140th Ave. SE, a vehicle was observed parked in the back of a business parking lot with fogged windows. A male was sleeping in the vehicle and stated that he was just tired from work. Check of the male revealed he had a warrant from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for Immigration Violation – Failure to Appear for Removal. The male was turned over to a Homeland Security Officer.

On October 10 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. of October 11 on the 15400 block of 141st Pl. SE, someone entered a vehicle parked in a driveway. A wallet was stolen from the vehicle and the garage door opener used to open the garage door before being left behind.

On October 10 at 7:05 a.m. in the area of SE 248th St. and 216th Ave. SE, while waiting for a school bus, a 14 year old female reported that another teen female started to walk towards her motioning the 14 year old to come with her. The 14 year old ran to a friend at another bus stop and both ran to the friend’s house. Check of area ended with negative results.

On October 4 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. of October 5 on the 31800 block of 200th Ave. SE, a dog owner went searching for her large dog and upon finding the dog hours later, the dog was shaking badly and could not walk. A veterinarian tested for toxins and discovered the dog had ingested a large amount of meth. Following treatment, the dog was released to go home.

On October 4 between 7-9:30 p.m. on the 28500 block of 160th Ave. SE, someone left a quad runner near some railroad tracks, which caused a collision with a train. The driver fled the scene on foot. The owner of the quad was unaware the quad was missing until a check was made with a deputy.

On October 4 at 7:23 a.m. on the 18200 block of SE 240th St., a male was found wearing a clown mask with red hair. Check of the male revealed no weapons on his person. The vehicle the male had ridden in to school was also checked with no weapons found. The male and others that had been contacted were turned over to school Security.

Maple Valley

On October 11 at 5:03 p.m. in the area of SE 237th St. and Witte Rd. SE, a male holding a sign and panhandling was contacted. He stated he was down on his luck and had been dropped off by a friend. He was told to cease, which he did, and call a friend to pick him up.

On October 9 at 3:16 p.m. on the 23800 block of SE Kent Kangley Rd., a known male with three warrants was observed riding a bicycle on the sidewalk. As the officer with emergency lights and siren was attempting to stop the male, he continued to ride. When ordered to stop, the male refused. At one point, the officer was able to get ahead of the male and when he opened his vehicle door, the male collided with the inside door panel and fell to the ground. Following a brief struggle, the male was detained and booked into Kent Jail on his three theft warrants. The male was recommended for additional charges of Obstructing a public servant.

On October 8 at 11:26 p.m. in the area of SE Wax Rd. and SR 169, a vehicle was observed without any lights on. Upon contact, the female stated she forgot to turn the lights on and that she had just come from a party. After failing the Field Sobriety Tests, the female gave breath tests of .069/.065. She was cited for DUI and released at her residence.
