Dallene Mower Passed Away

Our bright and vibrant wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend Dallene Mower passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in Seattle, WA.

She was born on November 28, 1958 in Salt Lake City and married her one true love, John (Corky) Herbert Mower, III on April 2, 1977.

They were later sealed in the LDS Temple for time and all eternity on June 3, 2000.

In 1988 Dallene and Corky made the brave choice to move their family of five to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and never looked back.

Dallene loved nothing more than cooking amazing meals for her family and teaching her granddaughters to cook, snuggling up with her beloved dog Fred, playing her Adele and Barbara Streisand albums on repeat and spending time with Corky at their cabin and property in Tonasket, WA.

A bright spirit, she loved tie-dye, Disney characters and had every color of Chuck Taylor’s in the rainbow. She retired from the Transportation Security Administration in December of 2014 where she proudly served for 12 years.

She is survived by her devoted husband Corky, her son John (Juliet) Mower, her two daughters April (John) Melchiode and Jennifer (Robert) Culp, her mother Sharlene Iverson, her mother-in-law Geraldine Mower, brother Ralph (Jeanne) Richins, two sisters Robyn (Gary) Curtis and Laura (Rex) Dipo, granddaughters Zoe, Abby, Charli, Layni, Ruby and Evan and grandson Eli, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dallas Richins (Kathy), step-father Fayne Iverson and her father-in-law, John (Bud) Herbert Mower II.

A celebration of Dallene’s life will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Meridian Valley Country Club, 24830 136th Ave. SE Kent, WA 98042.

We ask that everyone come dressed in their brightest colors, neon, tie-dye and converse.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Humane Society.
