Black Diamond

On November 10 at approximately 9:59 p.m. on the 25200 block of Kanaskat Dr., officers received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle. They were advised that the reporting person witnessed a white vehicle occupied by two people at the end of the street. Upon arrival, officers contacted the two subjects, who were watching Netflix on a cellular telephone. The subjects were asked to find a better location to watch Netflix.

On November 9 at approximately 9:35 p.m. on the 24200 block of Buena Vista Dr., officers received a call regarding a welfare check. Radio advised that a subject called 911 to report that his neighbor’s vehicle had been parked in their driveway while running for the past three hours. Upon contact, it was learned that the vehicle owner had forgotten to turn the vehicle off.

On November 8 at 2:20 a.m. on the 31000 block of 230th Pl. SE, officers responded to an alarm. Upon arriving, contact was attempted at the home, but nobody answered. A call inside went to voicemail. The outside of the residence appeared secured. According to CAD, the trip may have been at the dock. As officers investigated, they witnessed a small boat leaving the area with no lights. They attempted to stop the boat, however the driver continued and refused to stop. At this time, it was determined to be a false alarm.

Covington

On November 7 at 10:01 p.m. on the 17000 block of SE 272nd St., the manager of a business reported that a male had exited a business after stealing a gallon of milk and a bottle of juice. Running the plates of the vehicle the male was observed getting into, that the manager had photographed, revealed the vehicle had been stolen the day before.

On November 6 between 11:30 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. on the 16600 block of SE 256th St., a resident reported that a Seahawks flag, next to the garage of a residence, and a sign from the porch were stolen.

On November 4 at 12:30 p.m. on the 16700 block of SE 272nd St., a male was reported passed out in a vehicle parked in a business parking lot disabled stall. Upon contact, a female sitting in the driver’s seat stated they had broken down and that she was not the owner/driver of the vehicle. Check of the female and male passenger revealed she had a non-extraditable warrant for theft and the male a warrant for False Statement/Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act (VUCSA). Two other females, suspected in stealing items, were contacted when they exited the business. One female had warrants for theft, VUCSA, and prostitution. The other female was clear of warrants. The females gave the items back they had stolen. Everyone admitted using heroin. Unused needles and foil were located on their person and in the vehicle. The female with the VUCSA warrant was booked into the Regional Justice Center on her warrant, and the male booked into Kent Jail on his warrant. Trespass Warning Letters were given to all suspects. The other two remaining females were released after being warned.

King County

On November 11 at 10:01 p.m. in the area of SE 171st Way and 140th Ave. SE, deputies were dispatched to a UHaul truck parked next to a cell tower. One male was observed walking around with a gas can, yelling to himself, and the other looked as though he was possibly attempting to climb the tower. Upon arrival, the truck was observed backed up to the tower with one male standing behind the truck. The other male had walked to a gas station. The male walking to the gas station was contacted and gave a fake name. When the real name was identified, it was revealed that the male had failed to register as a sex offender. The male was booked into King County Jail for failing to register.

On November 11 at 12:07 a.m. on the 18200 block of 140th Ave. SE, a male was contacted for possible DUI. When exiting the vehicle, the male was unsteady on his feet. After failing the Field Sobriety Tests, the male gave two breath samples of .191/.184. The male was cited for DUI and released at a friend’s residence.

On November 9 between 9 p.m. and 7:15 a.m. of November 10 on the 25600 block of SE Summit/Landsburg Rd., someone unscrewed electrical panels to two buildings and cut a cable to one of the buildings, taking approximately $200 worth of copper wiring. A wrench was discovered between the two buildings.

On November 9 at 7:40 a.m. on the 21700 block of SE 298th Pl., it was reported that a work truck parked at a residence had been stolen. The truck was located unoccupied.

On November 7 between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. of November 8 on the 21400 block of SE 297th St., someone entered a garage, with a garage door opener, and stole three various saws, nail gun, air compressor, and golf clubs/bag.

On November 7 at 6:58 p.m. on the 19400 block of SE 272nd St., a deputy was dispatched to a collision where a male drove into a relative’s vehicle that was parked in the driveway. Upon contact, a strong odor of alcohol was detected coming from the male, who admitted he was drunk. According to a witness, the male revved the engine and then crashed the vehicle into the back of the relative’s vehicle pushing it into the residence. The male gave two breath sample of .267/.260, but refused to perform any Field Sobriety Tests. The male was booked into King County Jail for DUI and his vehicle impounded.

Maple Valley

On November 8 at 10:32 p.m. on the 26500 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd. SE, while checking an area, a male was observed running across the highway against a do not cross signal and kept running through a business parking lot. Upon contact, the male stated that he had a warrant. Check of the male revealed he had a warrant for Assault, 4th degree. The male was booked into King County Jail on his warrant.

On November 5 at 11:21 p.m. on the 27500 block of 228th Ave. SE, security on a commercial job site contacted five juvenile males who stated that they had squeezed through a fence and were looking around as they were curious. They also stated that it was a shortcut to another business area where they were headed. Each of the males was given a Trespass Warning Letter and a parent contacted.

On November 3 at 6:50 a.m. on the 26900 block of SR 169, officers were dispatched to a business for a trespasser. Once it was determined that the male had been trespassed from the business before, the male, who was confrontational, was booked into Kent Jail for Criminal Trespass, 1st degree.
