Black Diamond

On December 31 at approximately 12:33 a.m. on the 32600 block of 3rd Ave., officers received a call regarding a suspicious subject at a business. Officers were advised that a 911 call came in to report that there was a white male walking near a resident’s house towards the business. When questioned, the suspect stated that he was walking around in an attempt to warm up. Officers contacted the suspect in the business parking lot where he stated that he was waiting to meet a friend. A routine check of records revealed the suspect was clear. Officers advised the suspect that it was time to leave and he left the area towards another city.

On December 28 at approximately 2:13 a.m. on the 22700 block of SE 321 Pl., officers were dispatched in reference to an unwanted person. The caller advised that there was a possible transient problem in the area. A tent with flashlights inside could be seen during the night. Later in the day, an officer received information regarding a homeless camp. The officer found the camp and arrested one of the two subjects living in the tent on a warrant. Both subjects were trespassed from the property.

On December 27 at 11:54 a.m. on the 31100 block of 3rd Ave., officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute report. While on scene, officers made contact with a male that had a warrant. The male was transported to a meet location, where he was handed off to another police agency.

Covington

On December 28 at 2:11 p.m. on the 16700 block of SE 272nd St., a female customer reported that someone stole two wallets out of her purse that had been placed in the child’s seat of a cart. An employee reported that a customer found one of the wallets in the produce area, sitting on produce. Check of the wallet revealed that all contents were accounted for, however, the second wallet containing receipts, bills and approximately $25 in cash was still missing.

On December 23 at 6:35 p.m. on the 17400 block of SE 272nd St., during a check of a business that has been experiencing suspected drug activity in the bathroom, lobby and parking lot, a known male was observed walking in and out of the business. Check of the male revealed he had two warrants – Driving While License Suspended 3rd degree and Theft, 3rd degree. The male was contacted and booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) on one of his warrants.

On December 22 at 5:23 p.m. on the 17000 block of SE 272nd St., a male was reported for confronting people in a business parking lot. A male matching the description was at a bus stop yelling at a female who was also at the bus stop. After the male lied about his identity, the female corrected the information. According to the female, they were arguing over a lost cell phone. Check of the male revealed he had a warrant for Department of Correction Escape and a felony warrant. The male was booked into SCORE on his warrant.

King County

On December 26 between 10 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. of December 27 on the 28400 block of 168th Ave. SE, someone slashed both tires on the passenger side of a rental vehicle that was parked next to a trailer.

On December 26 between 10 a.m. and 8 a.m. of December 27 on the 29200 block of 160th Ave. SE, someone stole a camper trailer that was parked next to a shed. The trailer, which was on its attached jack stand, was dragged through the gravel out to the road. The residents did not see or hear anything.

On December 25 at 9 a.m. on the 32900 block of SE Kent Kangley Rd., it was reported that there was an abandoned truck with a large number of car keys inside as well as a cell phone sitting on the console. Upon calling a number from the phone, it was learned that the phone had been stolen a couple of days prior. As the deputy was arranging for an impound of the vehicle, a male came walking up to the truck and stated it was his. The deputy thought the male was the registered owner, who had a felony warrant, however, the male stated he was someone else. Check of the male revealed he had a warrant as well for Theft, 3rd degree, shoplifting. The male stated that he got all the keys from vehicles he had owned. After asking about a business key on the ring, the male denied working for the company, then denied the keys were his. The male was booked into Issaquah Jail on his warrant.

On December 21 at 10:13 p.m. on the 16400 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., a male was observed parked in a park after hours. Upon contact, check of the male revealed he had a warrant for Theft, 3rd degree. The male was transferred to an Issaquah Police Department officer.

On December 21 at 9:48 p.m. on the 27200 block of SE Kent Kangley Rd., a deputy was dispatched to a collision. Upon arrival, according to a female driver, another driver crossed the center line and although she attempted to avoid the collision, it ultimately happened. The male driver got out of his vehicle briefly before leaving the scene. A witness stated the male driver was traveling at a high rate of speed and almost hit him as well. A parent of the female went out looking for the driver and after finding him, brought him back to the scene. An odor of intoxicants could be detected coming from the male. The male denied driving his vehicle when it collided with the female, and did not know who the driver was. After further questioning, he admitted to being the driver and drinking a lot. After taking one Field Sobriety Test and failing, he refused to take other tests. The male gave breath samples of .234/.203. The male was released at his residence pending filing of charges for DUI, and his vehicle impounded.

On December 21 at 2:14 p.m. on the 17000 block of 140th Ave. SE, deputies were dispatched to a business for an incident. Upon arrival, it was learned that a male was bothering another patron stating that the patron’s phone was the male’s. When the male was told to walk outside with deputies, he refused. After finally getting the male outside, check of the male revealed he had warrants for Criminal Trespass, 1st degree and Public indecency. The male was booked into the Regional Justice Center for Criminal Trespass, 1st degree, and Obstructing a law enforcement officer.

Maple Valley

On December 30 at 8:07 a.m. on the 25700 block of SR 169, a female driver stopped her vehicle upon observing another female laying on the side of the road near traffic. While checking the female, she got up and ran to a vehicle parked in a driveway where she hid. Upon arrival, officers and Maple Valley Fire & Life Safety checked the female, who has a long history of alcoholism in the City. The female was transported to a hospital for treatment.

On December 26 at 9:32 p.m. on the 24900 block of Witte Rd. SE, a pickup was observed parked in front of a closed building with male and female occupants fogging up the windows. Upon contact, both stated they were going through some papers as well as admitted to being homeless. They were told to leave the area and complied.

On December 24 at 10:01 p.m. on the 21800 block of SE 271st St., while checking a license plate, it was discovered that the vehicle was recently involved in a larceny in another close by city. The driver made several sudden turns without signaling. At one point during contact, the male driver put his hand down by his leg and the officer un-holstered his Taser. Search of the male revealed three folding knives, one locked folding knife, fixed blade knife, pepper spray, two plastic straws that were bent, melted and had brown residue on the ends. Check of the male revealed a revoked license, 1st degree. The male was booked into Kent Jail for investigation of Driving While License Suspended, 1st degree, Possession Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to obey Law Enforcement Officer.
