Doris Helen Norman, 85, passed away on January 19, 2017 in Ellensburg, WA. She was born July 21, 1931 to Jacob and Christina Lagge of Loveland, CO.
She was preceded in death by 3 half-sisters, 8 half-brothers, her husband Doug and 3 grandchildren; Sherrill, James and Stephanie.
Doris is survived by 5 children; Connie, Cathy, Christy, Cindy and Robbie, and 1 stepson Steven, numerous grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Doris grew up in Loveland, CO and when she married her husband Doug they moved to Ravensdale, WA to make their home. They loved going camping and fishing together.
Doris worked for Tally Corporation in Renton, WA for many years and retired to pursue her many hobbies. She was very artistic and had a great gift for painting pictures on rocks, and designing birdhouses and painting them as well. Crossword puzzles were another of her favorite things to do. She had a very unique gift for playing the piano, it was one of her passions.
You could always find hummingbirds humming around her house as well as other little creatures. Her yard was beautifully decorated with many kinds of flowers and shrubs.
Doris loved reading her bible with her little dog Angel sitting next to her in her big chair. She had a heart of gold and there isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for a friend, neighbor, even a stranger.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Ravensdale Bible Chruch in memory of Doris Norman. Address is P.O. Box 22, Ravensdale, Wa 98051
