Covington

On February 16 at 7 p.m. on the 27500 block of Covington Way SE, officers were dispatched to a male suspect being held down by customers after stealing an item from a business. Upon arrival, the suspect was found being held lying face down after being tackled by a customer. Following an investigation, the male was booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) for Theft, 3rd degree, and the merchandise returned.

On February 16 at 8:37 a.m. on the 17400 block of SE 270th Pl., while patrolling a business parking lot, a vehicle was observed with expired tabs and report of sale. Further information revealed that male had a warrant and the female with him had a felony warrant for Criminal Trespass and Theft, 3rd degree. Further information revealed that both had extensive theft and trespassing histories with the female receiving a lifetime trespass from the business in 2016. The female was booked into King County Jail on her warrant. Additional charges forwarded to the prosecutor included Criminal Trespass, 2nd degree for each of the male and female.

On February 8 at 9:19 a.m. on the 17000 block of SE Wax Rd., a driver entered an intersection just before the yellow light turned red. Upon contact, check of the driver revealed he had two felony warrants – Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act (VUCSA) and Unlawful Solicit Possess Controlled Substance. Search of the male revealed two checks that did not have his name on them. The vehicle was impounded and the male booked into the Regional Justice Center on his warrants.

King County

On February 15 at 7:33 p.m. on the 19700 block of 140th Ave. SE, a vehicle was observed with one working headlight. Upon contact, check of the driver revealed he had a warrant for Criminal Trespass, 2nd degree. The male was booked into SCORE on his warrant. The vehicle was picked up, by the registered owner.

On February 14 at 6:10 p.m. on the 22200 block of 215th Ave. SE, deputies were dispatched to a potential burglary in progress. A male was observed at the front door of the residence as well as entering an unsecured garage. Upon arrival, the male was gone.

On February 13 at 11:30 a.m. on the 28800 block of SE 216th Way, it was reported that someone stole a pistol from a residence.

On February 13 between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on the 14100 block of SE 171st Way, an employee parked his vehicle in a business parking lot and upon return, the vehicle was missing.

On February 13 at 9:45 a.m. on the 14500 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., a male driver was contacted for a head-on hit and run. He was blocked into an area that he was attempting to make an exit. The male stated he was not the one who was driving the vehicle, but that he was taking charge for the other person. A witness stated that the male was the only person in the vehicle. The male finally admitted to driving and that he had been drinking. The male refused to provide a breath sample so he was booked into jail for hit and run occupied, DUI and failing to yield and identify. His vehicle was impounded.

On February 12 at 12:19 a.m. on the 17700 block of 140th Ave. SE, a vehicle was observed with a headlight out. Upon contact, an odor of alcohol could be detected coming from the vehicle. The male refused to take the Field Sobriety Tests or to give a preliminary breath sample. The female passenger also admitted to drinking and had a friend pick her up. The male finally gave breath samples of .011/.009 and was released at his residence.

Maple Valley

On February 17 at 10:11 a.m. on the 25300 block of SR 169, a female was observed stumbling down the roadway. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

On February 14 at 11:45 a.m. on the 26500 block of SR 169, a witness contacted an officer regarding a wanted subject for bank robbery. The male subject was confirmed as being wanted for a felony warrant for Robbery, 1st degree. The male was located and while being patted him down, it was found that he had a large open wound on his leg. The male was transported to Harborview for treatment.

On February 10 at 2:29 a.m. on the 27100 block of 228th Ave. SE, a driver was contacted for no rear license plate however, a temporary tag was posted in the rear window. Check of the male revealed he had a felony warrant for VUCSA. The vehicle was impounded and the male booked into King County Jail on his warrant.
