Mayor Sean Kelly presided over the Monday, March 13, Special City Council meeting with all Councilmembers present.

Ordinance No. O-17-614 relating to establishing Interim Regulations related to Retail Marijuana. Passed 6-1 (Burberry voting no)

Resolution No. R-17-1139 authorizing the City Manager to execute an Interlocal Agreement with King County for the provision of Surface Water Related Technical Services. Passed 7-0

***

Resolution No. R-17-1140 authorizing the City Manager to enter into a Washington State Military Department Homeland Security Grant Agreement. Passed 7-0

***

Resolution No. R-17-1141 authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract between the City of Maple Valley and Tyler Technologies based on the attached proposal for data conversion. Passed 7-0

***

Resolution No. R-17-1142 to execute a Professional Services Agreement with David Evans and Associates, Inc. for the Engineering Services for the design of T-39: SR 169 widening (Witte Road to SE 240th Street). Passed 7-0

***

Resolution No. R-17-1143 acceptance of funding assistance for the development of a Disc Golf Course project from King County Youth Sports Facility Grant. Passed 7-0

Proclamation: That Monday, March 13, 2017 be declared as Tahoma Bears Wrestling Day. Citizens are urged to join in honoring this outstanding group of athletes.

Unanimous approval of a report on the Veterans and Human Services Levy goals, strategies, services and programs (Substitute Motion 2017-0034.2).

Introduction of ordinances and motions for Committee action: Creating the King County Access for All program, imposing a one-tenth of one percent sales and use tax to finance the King County Access for All program conditioned on voter approval, and providing for the submission to the qualified electors of King County at a special election to be held in King County on August 1, 2017, a proposition authorizing the sales and use tax imposed by this ordinance (Proposed Ordinance 2017-0104). Sent to the Budget and Fiscal Management Committee for discussion and possible action.
