Black Diamond

On June 25 at 12:29 a.m. on the 30800 block of 3rd Ave., officers stopped a driver for a speed violation. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the 23-year old female was under the influence of alcohol with breath sample of .151/.155. She was arrested, and the vehicle impounded.

On June 22 at 6:01 p.m. on the 32800 block of 5th Ave., officers were dispatched in regard to a disturbance report. Officers contacted a vehicle matching the description given of one of the parties. Investigation revealed that the dispute had been verbal in nature, and that no crime had been committed. It was discovered that the driver of the vehicle was driving on a suspended license. The driver was cited and released at the scene.

On June 19 at 7:54 p.m. on the 25700 block of Lawson St., officers were dispatched to a residence in regard to a report of suspicious persons in an unoccupied foreclosed home. Upon arrival, officers contacted several individuals and after investigation, determined that they did not have permission to be in on the property. The individuals were removed from the scene.

Covington

On June 19 at 9:20 p.m. on the 18000 block of SE 256th St., according to a male and female, while in a drive thru, the male driver in back of them was honking his horn. The female, who was in the back seat, rolled the window down and flipped off the driver. After picking their food up, the male and female headed out with the suspect male tailgating and swerving behind them. At one point, the suspect male drove up beside them, rolled the window down and threw a glass bottle at the female’s vehicle. After the male IDed the suspect and vehicle, the suspect male was booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) for Malicious Mischief, 3rd degree.

On June 17 at 5:13 p.m. on the 27300 block of SE Covington Way, two males were observed prowling vehicles in a business parking lot. Upon arrival, one of the males was observed ducking behind vehicles. Upon contact, the male appeared under the influence of a controlled substance. A straw with brown substance was observed coming out of the male’s pant pocket. Search of the male revealed a spring blade knife, two shotgun shells, 12 gage shotgun shell, and pills in a baggie. The second male was located in a nearby business. The males were trespassed from the property. The first male was booked into SCORE for Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.

On June 15 at 7:20 p.m. in the area of SE 272nd St. and Hwy. 18, a female driver was reported as possible DUI several miles from where she eventually had a collision with another driver while making a turn. Upon contact, the officer told the driver, who had been rear ended, to pull to the side of the road. When the female was told to do the same, she pulled around the patrol vehicle and began traveling west in an east bound lane of traffic. When commanded to stop, the female stopped and stated she was having problems with her medication. An odor of alcohol could be detected coming from the female. After having difficulty turning the vehicle off, the female was put in the back of the patrol vehicle, and another officer cleared the intersection from blocking traffic. During an investigation, it was learned that there were other reports of the female blocking traffic and appearing to be passed out at the wheel. A bottle of alcohol was observed on the floor of the vehicle as well as over the counter medication in the console. Following the investigation, the female declined to take the Field Sobriety Tests as well as breath tests. Check of the female revealed her Washington ID card was suspended as well as her out of state driver’s license. Search of the female’s purse revealed a box of prescription medication. The female’s vehicle was impounded and the female booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) for DUI.

King County

On June 22 between 8 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. of June 23 on the 21500 block of SE 298th Pl., someone entered a vehicle parked in a residential driveway that was unclear if it had been locked. Stolen items included a passport, laptop, and cosmetic and bag.

On June 22 between 3:30 p.m. and 8:20 a.m. of June 23 on the 30700 block of Black Diamond/Ravensdale Rd. SE, while a gate to a property was still locked, check of an office building revealed someone had entered and went through the cabinets. Another building had the door pried open. A trailer was also broken into and ransacked. Stolen item included a grass trimmer.

On June 22 at 9:36 a.m. on the 24200 block of 197th Ave. SE, a deputy was dispatched to a verbal domestic. Upon arrival, a female stated she had been arguing with her boyfriend’s mother about smoking marijuana on the property. Check of the female returned clear, however, check of the mother revealed a warrant for Theft, 3rd degree. The mother was booked into the Regional Justice Center on her warrant.

On June 20 at 8:30 p.m. on the 17300 block of 140th Ave. SE, according to a sales associate, two males entered a business shortly before closing. One of the males was distracting the associate while the other was looking at three pieces of merchandise on display before being observed cutting security wires with a pliers. When told to stop, the male stated no and both males walked out of the business.

On June 18 at 12:20 p.m. on the 14200 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., a male was observed riding a bicycle on a sidewalk without lights or helmet. The male then rode his bike passed a patrol vehicle while he was seated on the handlebars riding backwards. Upon contact, the male stated the light was on the seat post, but it was not working. Before riding off, the male stated that the deputy could not do anything about his wearing a helmet. After stopping the male a second time, check of the male revealed he had a warrant for DUI. Following a struggle, the male got away from the deputy and took off running, but was detained down the street by a second deputy. The male was booked into King County Jail on his warrant. Additional charges include Resisting Arrest.

On June 15 at 3:15 p.m. in the area of SE 213th St. and 196th Ave. SE, a deputy was dispatched to a motorist with a vehicle that had rolled into a lake. Upon arrival, the male claimed his vehicle had issues and while pulled over in a parking lot to have a cigarette, he heard the vehicle make a click sound. When he turned around, the vehicle was rolling down a boat launch into the lake fully submerged in 6 feet of water. The Marine Unit was called out to tow the vehicle out of the water. When the vehicle was pulled out, the keys were in the ignition in the on position and the vehicle in drive without the emergency brake on.

Maple Valley

On June 20 between 9 p.m. and 8 p.m. of June 21 on the 22500 block of SE 248th St., someone stole a disc golf basket from a business by cutting off a lock.

On June 16 at 7:47 p.m. on the 27200 block of 228th Ave. SE, a driver was observed failing to yield to traffic, which nearly caused a collision. Upon contact, check of the driver revealed a suspended license for unpaid tickets. Check of the passenger revealed he had a warrant for trafficking stolen property, 1st degree. Search of the male revealed a plastic straw and tinfoil on his person. He was booked into King County Jail on his warrant. Additionally, he was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The driver cited for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree along with an infraction for failing to yield the right of way.

On June 16 at 4:26 p.m. on the 22200 block of SE 272nd St., officers were dispatched to a hit and run collision. According to the female driver, she was making a turn when she was struck by a vehicle whose driver did not stop. A witness followed the driver until the driver parked in a driveway and exited the vehicle with a passenger. They then got into another vehicle and drove away. An officer went to the address provided and observed the vehicle in the driveway. At the same time, the officer received a dispatch regarding a female at emergence stating she was involved in a collision. Check of the female revealed she had a suspended license. The female was booked into Kent Jail for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree, Driving Without an Interlock Device, and Hit and Run (Non-injury).
