Night at the Museum

Wednesday, March 14, 6:30pm

Ages 3 to 7 with adult.

Join us for a special Pajama Story Time event at the Historical Society’s Gibbon-Mezzavilla General Store Museum across the street from the Maple Valley Library. Enjoy bedtime stories and time to explore the museum. Bring a stuffed animal that your child would like to have spend the night at the museum and then meet us at the Maple Valley Library the next morning at 9:30am for treats and stuffie pick up. You will get pictures of what the stuffies got up to on their nighttime adventure!

Registration begins Wednesday, February 28, 10am.

 

Make a Big Mouth Foam Puppet Workshop

Saturday, March 31, 1pm

Ages 6 and older with adult.

Presented by Cheryl Hadley.

Make a new friend: a big mouth foam puppet! Learn how to make the puppet and design a costume to give it a unique personality. Quickly discover the techniques to manipulate and move it as well.

Registration begins Friday, March 16.

Middle school and high school ages.

Play video games for FREE at the library! Stop by to play Wii U, Wii, PS3, and Xbox games or just hang out with friends.

 

Teen Advisory Board

Tuesday, March 20, 4pm

For teens in middle school, high school and home school to get involved with the library. Volunteer and give input on how to best serve teens at the library. It looks great on college and job applications! Meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month, September-June.

Sew Simple

Always wanted to learn how to sew? Here is your opportunity. Learn the basics of machine sewing while completing a simple project with Sew Simple instructors Liisa Mannery and Dikka Ballantine.
