Black Diamond

On July 6 at approximately 11:14 p.m. on the 29000 block of 216thAve. SE, officers were on patrol when they discovered a vehicle that was parked partially blocking a lane on the roadway. A 43-year old male was discovered in the driver’s seat, asleep behind the wheel. Following an investigation, the suspect was arrested for physical control of vehicle, under the influence. The suspect was booked into the Issaquah Jail.

On July 6 at approximately 4:53 a.m. on the 29800 block of 224thAve. SE, officers were dispatched to a welfare check. A witness reported hearing a knocking or tapping coming from a residence where residents were out of town along with seeing a security light on. Officers arrived on scene and walked around the residence. There were no signs of entry and no one on the property. Officers contacted the reporting party and informed them of the outcome.

On July 4 at 9:47 p.m. on the 32500 block of Newcastle Dr., officers were dispatched for a fireworks complaint. According to dispatch, fireworks had set a bush on fire. Upon arrival of police/fire, it was found that the fire had already been put out. The property owner and the parties responsible were contacted and it was determined the fire was started accidentally. Officers cleared the scene without incident

Covington

On July 13 at 3:30 p.m. on the 18200 block of SE 240thSt., while at a pool, a female put her purse down by the edge and covered it with her pool bag. After swimming for a half hour, the female discovered that her purse was gone. Stolen items included an Iphone, military ID card, driver’s license, sunglasses, gift cards, and various bank cards.

On July 11 at 2:10 p.m. on the 16700 block of SE 272ndSt., officers were dispatched to a male attempting to leave a restaurant without paying for his meal. Upon contact, the male stated he needed his phone that had been taken by staff in order for his relative to put funds on his app. Asked if he had money in his pocket to pay for the food before coming into the business, the male stated no. The male was trespassed from the business and released.

On July 10 between 10-11:30 p.m. on the 16700 block of SE 272ndSt., someone entered a vehicle and stole research regarding bee hives, as well as a laptop, without taking the power cords.

King County

On July 16 at 6:37 p.m. in the area of SE 309thSt. and Cumberland/Kanaskat Rd. SE, someone entered an unsecured vehicle and stole a gym bag with clothing, purse, and wallet.

On July 15 between 7-10 p.m. on the 25000 block of Landsburg SE, someone entered an unsecured vehicle and stole two purses. Missing items included credit/bank cards, driver’s license, jewelry, car keys, makeup bags with makeup, cash, miscellaneous paperwork, 5 bottles of prescription medication, and Social Security cards.

On July 13 at midnight in the area of 140thAve. SE and SE 171stWay, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision. While investigating, it was discovered that the at-fault driver had a driver’s license that was Revoked, 3rddegree and that there was no ignition interlock device on the vehicle. Recommended charges for the male included Driving While License Suspended, 3rddegree and Operating a motor vehicle without ignition interlock device.

On July 12 between 1:51 p.m. on the 17200 block of 140thAve. SE, while running a vehicle plate, it was discovered that the female owner had a suspended license as well as 3 warrants – Use/Deliver Drug Paraphernalia and 2 Driving While License Suspended, 3rddegree. Check of the male driver revealed he had a suspended license and warrants – Use/Deliver Drug Paraphernalia and Driving While License Suspended, 3rddegree. When the vehicle door was opened, multiple needles were observed inside the vehicle. Both were booked into Enumclaw Jail on their warrants.

On July 10 at 11:08 p.m. on the 19000 block of 196thAve. SE, a suspicious vehicle was observed parked parallel to a roadway while blocking a driveway. A male was seated in the driver’s seat, female in the passenger’s seat and a Pitbull type dog in the back seat. While approaching the vehicle, the male got out and stated that his vehicle had broken down and that a friend was on the way to help. He also stated he did not have any ID on him. During a name check, information revealed the male had a felony warrant of escape from community custody for possession of controlled substance. As the deputy was running the name, the male was observed walking towards the residence, followed by the sound of twigs and branches breaking at the wood line. The male was told K9 was on the way and to exit the woods. Meanwhile, the female and dog were observed exiting the vehicle and getting into another one before leaving the scene. Through K9 search, the male was apprehended along a fence line. The male was booked into King County Jail on his warrants.

On July 8 at 12:19 a.m. on the 17100 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., a female was contacted outside of her vehicle that had significant damage from a rollover. According to the female, a DUI driver had run her off the road, however, there was no damage suggesting that scenario. Witnesses advised the female appeared to be driving in a racing/road-rage situation while swerving, speeding possibly side by side with another vehicle before the female drove into the ditch. After the collision, the female was on the phone with a male cursing at her, which suggested the two knew each other. The female was also observed dumping liquids on the ground. A strong odor of intoxicants could be detected coming from the female even though she denied having anything to drink. However, a preliminary breath test indicated she was over the legal limit. The vehicle was impounded, and the female booked into King County Jail for DUI after giving a blood draw due to refusal of signing documents.

Maple Valley

On July 13 at 1:16 a.m. on the 22100 block of SE 237thSt., a known shoplifter entered a business and was observed concealing multi-vitamins in her purse. After paying for other items, the female left the business without paying for the vitamins. The female was trespassed and released.

On July 12 at 10:56 p.m. on the 22100 block of SE 237thSt., a known male entered a business he had been trespassed from, and then left the business. Upon contact, the male was eating some food he admitted he had purchased from the business he knew he had been trespassed from. Search of the male’s backpack revealed a fake black plastic semiauto handgun, several black latex gloves, a pair of black cloth gloves, 2 bandanas, scissors, 4 bottles of unopened liquor, a pack of Nike socks still connected to the packaging, and personal clothing/hygiene items. The male was booked into Kent Jail on Criminal Trespass, 1stdegree as well as received a Trespass Warning Letter.

On July 10 at 4:13 p.m. on the 23700 block of Witte Rd. SE, a male driver was observed at a stoplight wearing a set of headphones. Upon contact, the male had removed the headset, which was lying on the passenger’s seat next to him. The male stated that his driver’s license was invalid. Check of the license revealed it was suspended due to unpaid tickets. The vehicle was impounded, and the male cited for Driving While License Suspended, 3rddegree along with an infraction for Unlawful use of headphones while driving.
