Board Game Afternoon

Fridays, 4-6pm

All ages and skill levels welcome.

Learn to play chess or explore other board games at the library with your family and friends. 

The Big Play Date

Monday, November 12, 10am-12pm

For families with children newborn to age 6, but all ages welcome.

Drop in for interactive, play-centered activities. Enjoy meeting other families and learn how play encourages language skills, social and emotional development.

Car Craft & Drive-In Movie

Tuesday, November 20, 11am

Ages 3 to 5 with parent or caregiver.

Make a car out of a cardboard box just by using your imagination and a little elbow grease. After 45 minutes of decorating, sit in your “car,” and enjoy a short movie. Come learn and explore at the library!

Registration begins November 6.

IdeaX: Stop Motion Animation

Thursday, November 8, 3:30pm

Grades 4-12.

Make your own mini-movie using stop motion! Learn how to create your own video with an app, clay and Legos. Move objects in simple increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a fast sequence.

Tween Story Time

Monday, November 26, 5pm

Middle school ages.

A place for tweens to share their love of reading and storytelling with others. Bring a book you would like to hear or the librarian can help find appropriate books.

Building your Resume for College

Thursday, November 29, 7pm

Best suited for students and their families in grades 7-11.

Learn what colleges look for when they review applications and how to start building your CV while in high school.

Areas include academics, volunteering and community service, summer programs, internships, and employment. Feel free to bring in one sample of your resume for critique!
