Infant & Young Toddler Story Time

Keep It Real Concert

Tuesday, December 4, 10:30am

Presented by Caspar Babypants.

Family program, all ages welcome with adult.

Sing and dance along with one of the most popular children’s performers in the Northwest. This family concert features songs from the new album.

Registration required online for all attending, children and adults.

Block Party! LEGO @ the Library

Wednesday, December 5, 6pm

All ages welcome with adult.

Come to the library for an unstructured, creative play open-house. Stay for the entire event or pop in for a few minutes.

Friends of the Covington Library Santa Night

Wednesday, December 12, 5:30pm

Family program, all ages welcome with adult.

Santa will be at the Covington Library! Bring your own camera and take a photo or purchase one from the Friends. There will also be a door prize drawing for parents.

The Dickens Carolers

Saturday, December 15, 2pm

Family program, all ages welcome with adult.

Join the beloved Dickens Carolers for a holiday concert. The a cappella quartet will regale us with holiday favorites, both traditional and contemporary, in beautiful four-part harmony. Light refreshments served.

Bingo Ball Drop

Ages 3 and older with adult.

Happy Noon Year!

Celebrate the coming new year by playing our own version of bingo at the library, 11am-12pm. Play a single game or stay the entire time until the Bingo Ball Drop countdown at high noon. There will be prizes!

A Peek inside the Circus

Presented by Synapse Circus Center.

Family program, all ages welcome with adult.

No need to run away to join the circus, it is coming to you! Meet real circus performers and try your hand at some circus skills of your own. Experience what makes circus so unbelievable in this sneak peek into the magical world of circus arts.

Registration recommended for kids and adults.

Drop-in during scheduled Study Zone hours for free homework help from volunteer tutors.

Dance Floor Survival Skills 

Saturday, December 1, 11am

Age 11 through adult.

Not a fan of dancing? Wish you felt less awkward? Join Susan Wickett-Ford, teaching artist with Silver Kite Community Arts, LLC to explore easy and fun techniques on how to dance with or without a partner at a social event. You may want to use your new skills at the winter social following at 1pm.

Winter Social and House Cup Ceremony 

Saturday, December 1, 1-3pm

Ages 11 to 100! Ages 10 and younger with adult.

Come to the American Yule Ball! You can duel, play Harry Potter themed games, watch performances, earn last minute house points, or just socialize while enjoying butterbeer, pumpkin tarts and other tasty treats. Before we announce the winner of the House Cup (and a few other awards) any students who missed the sorting will get that opportunity.

Hang out with other artists and unleash your creativity through guided and not-so-guided activities.

This month’s project is tying mystic knots.

Charming Chocolate

Saturday, December 22, 3pm

Ages 11 to adult.

Create scrumptious wands made of pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate!
