Maple Valley’s annual Hometown Holidays celebration is tonight
Get ready to jingle bell rock around 4 Corners, located at the intersection of Kent-Kangley Road and SR 169, in Maple Valley as we usher in the holiday season with Hometown Holidays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6. This annual holiday celebration is free and all ages are invited. The event is sponsored by Fred Meyer and Johnsons Home & Garden.
The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. with the countdown for the official holiday tree lighting lead by the Mayor and City Council. Santa will arrive shortly after and will be available for photographs at the Maple Valley Fire & Life Safety Station 80. Guests will be delighted while enjoying live music performances by the Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra, Dace’s Rock N’ More, and the Lake Wilderness Elementary Chorus. There will also be craft and activity booths, train and horse-drawn trolley rides, Xtreme Snowboarding, and photo opportunities with beloved holiday characters. Local businesses and organizations will be offering hot cider and chocolate, kettle corn, candy, cookies, and hot soup.
This event is fun for the entire family and provides families an opportunity to give back to the community by bringing a new unwrapped gift and canned food donation in support of the Maple Valley Food Bank.
Special Thanks to Powell Development Co and ROIC Four Corners Square for their support in this event.
