Black Diamond Police Reports Updated 12-11-18

On Monday, 11/12/2018, between 8 and 9 p.m., Officers stopped a vehicle in the 31500 block of 3rd AVE for a speed violation. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver had a license status of Suspended in the 3rd Degree, and was the subject of several arrest warrants. The driver was taken into custody, and the vehicle impounded.

On 11/12/18, at approximately 10:53 a.m., Officers received a call regarding property damage to the windshield of a vehicle. The subject stated he was traveling south on 216th AVE in his vehicle and a truck and trailer was traveling north.  The subject stated loose gravel came out of the back of the trailer and caused his vehicle to have a rock chip on the windshield.  The subject located a truck at a construction site he believed caused the damage to his windshield; however, it was determined that vehicle had been parked at the time of the incident.

On 11/12/18, at approximately 2:07 p.m., Officers received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence.  Officers were informed that a male subject called to report that a Motorhome was parked in front of his residence and he believed that it might have been abandoned. Officers arrived in the 29100 block of 232nd AVE SE and located the Motorhome.  The Motorhome was registered to the reporting person’s neighbor. Officers called the reporting person on the telephone to inform him that the Motorhome was not abandoned and belonged to his neighbor.

On 11/12/18, at approximately 5:12 p.m., Officers received a call regarding a two-vehicle collision at 29200 216th AVE SE. Officers responded to the location and located both vehicles blocking the intersection. Officers completed their investigation and found that no one involved sustained any injuries.  Both vehicles were removed from the scene by tow trucks.

On Saturday, 11/17/2018, around 1 a.m., Officers stopped a vehicle in the 30200 block of 224thAVE SE for a speed violation. Subsequent investigation determined that there was probable cause to arrest the driver of the vehicle for driving under the influence. The driver was arrested, and the vehicle impounded.

On 11/18/18 officers received a report of a sex offense that had occurred several days prior. The suspect was located and interviewed. The suspectadmitted to the allegations, he was arrested and booked into jail.

On 11/17/18, at approximately 1506 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a report of suspicious activity to be taken by phone. Officers contacted the reporting party by phone and discovered a felony warrant subject had been frequenting the 31100 block of 3rd AVE. Officers contacted the homeowner where this was occurring and advised him to call 911 next time he saw the subject in the area.

On Sunday, 11/18/2018, about 2:35 a.m., Officers were dispatched to the 23600 block of SE 288thin regard to a report of a single vehicle collision. Upon arrival, Officers contacted two individuals who had been driving in the area. One of the vehicles left the roadway at a high speed and struck a fence. Subsequent investigation determined that both drivers were under the influence of intoxicants. The drivers were arrested, and the vehicles impounded.
