SR-167 Re-opened after pedestrian hit and killed

SR 167 has reopened following a closure due to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in Kent. Washington State Trooper Rick Johnson tweeted the incident before arriving at the scene.

A woman died early Tuesday morning after being hit by a driver along an on-ramp to SR 167 in Kent.

The collision was reported just before 6 a.m. at the southbound on-ramp at 84th Avenue South. The driver fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian. Police were keeping the ramp closed due to the ongoing investigation.
