Reading with Rover

Sunday, January 27, 1-2pm

For school-age children accompanied by an adult.

Build reading skills and confidence by reading aloud to a certified therapy dog in a welcoming environment. Reading with Rover is a community-based literacy program working with schools and libraries throughout the greater Seattle area.

Home Safety with the Washington Poison Center

Saturday, January 5, 1pm

Appropriate for children and families.

Join Arti Patel from the Washington Poison Center to discuss common household poisons, Mr Yuk as an educational prevention tool and home safety strategies. Arti will also discuss services of the Washington Poison Center. Stickers and swag will be distributed!

Tim has traveled to Tanzania to lead climbs of Africa’s highest point, Kilimanjaro, as well as cultural tours and wildlife safaris around the country, since 2000. The presentation will focus on the geography of tourism in Tanzania, with tips and recommendations for those who might like to climb Kilimanjaro or view some of the most incredible wild areas on the planet.
