Black Diamond Police News Updated 4-16-19

On 3/18/19, officers were monitoring traffic in the 31100 block of 3rd Avenue when a car passed them traveling 95 miles per hour. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle did not stop. Officers did not pursue the vehicle.

Neighboring agencies were advised of the vehicle’s direction of travel.

On 3/19/2019, an officer was dispatched to a vandalism report in the 21700 block of SE 288th Street. The owner of a pop-up tent carport that was damaged believed it was done on purpose by an unknown subject.

On 3/20/2019, an officer was dispatched to the 32100 block of Railroad Avenue for a traffic complaint. The reporting party advised that a silver 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix had driven through the neighborhood at a high rate of speed. When the RP confronted the driver who walked from the parked vehicle he was met with profanities. The female driver walked south to a nearby apartment building. The vehicle was found unoccupied. The driver was not located.

On 03/21/2019, at approximately 2210 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 31100 block of 3rd AVE. Upon investigation, it was determined that the 45 year old male driver of the vehicle was driving while intoxicated. Further, officers noted paraphernalia in the vehicle as well as on the driver. The vehicle was seized for search warrant.

On Friday, 03/22/2019, Officers were dispatched to the north end of Lake Sawyer in regard to an apparently abandoned vessel.

On Friday, 03/22/2019, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 33000 block of Pacific PL in regard to a request to attempt to locate the registered owner of an abandoned vehicle in Auburn. Officers were able to contact the owner, and advised them to contact the Auburn Police Department about their vehicle.

On 3/22/19, an officer contacted a pet owner in the 32400 block of 5th Avenue regarding a barking dog. The owner agreed to bring the dog inside and be more aware of it’s barking in the future.

On Sunday, 03/24/2019, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 30800 block of 229th PL SE in regard to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near a house for sale. Officers contacted the individuals in the vehicle and were able to determine that they were the new homeowners.

On 3/24/19, Black Diamond Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 25200 block of Roberts DR. Officers discovered the driver’s driving status was suspended/revoked 3rd. A criminal citation was issued to the driver for DWLS 3rd. The vehicle was released to the passenger who possessed a valid drivers license.
