Yarnsmiths

Tuesday, April 4, 6pm

Ages 5 to 100!

Learn how to knit or crochet a washcloth at the library. Already know how? Join us and help teach others! Yarn and hooks/needles will be provided, or bring your own.

 

Ms. Bee’s Play Place

Wednesday, April 5, 10am

Ages 6 and younger with adult.

Drop in for 45 minutes of interactive, play-centered activities. Enjoy meeting other families and learn how play encourages language skills, social and emotional development.

PoetryMusic-Multimedia Performance

Celebrate Poetry Month with a special event!

PoetryMusic blends poetry and jazz to celebrate a range of poetry from Shakespeare to Maya Angelou to Robert Frost to Kerouac. Deep jazz vocals, vibraphone, cello and multimedia images add layers of meaning and beauty to poems as lyrics.

Please bring your social security card, photo ID, all tax statements, health insurance information. It’s also recommended to bring last year’s tax return and a bank account number and routing number. United Way Tax helpers can also help you sign up for healthcare, public benefits, ORCA Lift and the myRA savings account.

Fairwood Master Gardeners: Weekly Plant Clinics

Saturdays, 10am

Come to Fairwood Library on Saturday mornings for plant clinics hosted by the Fairwood Master Gardeners! Trained and certified volunteers will provide free advice and answers to questions relating to home gardening, landscape maintenance, pest management, composting and other topics.

 

Talk Time Classes

Thursdays, 7pm

Improve your speaking and listening skills in this English conversation group. Learn more about American culture and meet people from around the world.
