Community Choir Rehearsals To Begin

Did you enjoy singing in your high school and/or college choirs? Have you missed the enjoyment of creating beautiful choral music? Ken Riggs, Tahoma High School’s choral teacher will direct local, adult singers’ annual Holiday Concert, December 15, 7:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center at the new Tahoma High School. We are recruiting choral singers in all voice ranges: sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. No auditions are necessary. The ability to read music is recommended.

We understand how busy our schedules are so we are planning a short-term rehearsal schedule. We will hold rehearsals in the month of November and December with a concert on December 15th. Rehearsal dates: November 8, 13, 20, & 27 and December 4 & 11. We’ll meet in the choir room at Tahoma High School from 7:00 to 8:30PM. Since we will have several songs to learn in a short period of time, it will be very important to attend each rehearsal. Above all, we’ll have a great time!

Our repertoire will include traditional Christmas and Holiday season songs. The Tahoma High School Treble Choir will open the concert and perform with the Community Choir at the end. Our audience of friends, family and community members will be in for a wonderful, holiday treat!

Please dust off those rusty vocal cords and join your fellow community members in a wonderful opportunity to sing and perform with fellow community members. Dues are $20 for music and director stipend. Please contact either Mary Jane Glaser at MGlaser591@gmail.com or Krissy Riggs at krissyriggs@comcast.net for information and to express your interest in joining us.

Everyone circle your calendars for Friday, December15th, for a wonderful holiday concert! $5.00 suggested donation.
