Black Diamond

On April 6 at approximately 10:10 p.m. on the 32000 block of Sunny Lane, officers were dispatched for a call regarding threats. The resident advised officers that a neighbor came over and threatened to kill him and his dog. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. A few days later the suspect was identified by the resident in a photo montage. The next day the suspect was arrested and released pending the case being submitted to King County Prosecutor’s Office.

On April 6 at 5:10 p.m. on the 25300 block of Baker St., officers responded for a juvenile problem. A business employee called to report two juveniles skateboarding on business property that the employee wanted them to leave. Officers contacted the juveniles and asked them to move to the skate park, of which they complied.

On April 3 at approximately 10:06 a.m. on the 24200 block of Buena Vista Dr., officers received a call regarding a welfare check request. They were advised that an anonymous female called 911 to request a welfare check on an 80-year old female at her residence. Officers contacted the anonymous female who stated that she used to clean the residence until being fired by the son. The female informed officers that she was worried because the elderly female was very thin. Officers arrived at the residence and found no one home. Upon return later, it was determined that the female was in good health and not being abused.

Covington

On April 10 between midnight and 6:30 a.m. of April 11 on the 19500 block of SE 270thPl., someone entered a vehicle and stole a house key as well as mailbox keys.

On April 6 at 2 p.m. on the 16700 block of SE 272ndSt., a known previously trespassed female was observed pushing a cart full of merchandise in a business. The female previously admitted to stealing clothing, so she could re-sell it. Upon contact, search of the female revealed items not belonging to her that she denied any knowledge regarding the items. A male, who was standing nearby and recognized as the female’s boyfriend, was also contacted. Search of two backpacks he was wearing revealed drug paraphernalia, “tweaker tools”, a notebook of items they wanted, and pairs of pants with tags. The male and female were trespassed from the business and both booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) – the female for Criminal Trespass, 1stdegree; the male for Criminal Trespass, 2nddegree. Additional charge for both was Possession of Stolen Property, 3rddegree.

On April 2 at 9:03 a.m. on the 17000 block of SE 272ndSt., a male with a hooded jacket and no helmet was observed riding a bicycle behind a business. The known male, who had a warrant, was told to stop. Upon contact, the male admitted to having a warrant. The male was booked into SCORE on his two warrants for Theft, 3rddegree.

King County
On April 13 between 5:30-7:29 p.m. on the 32400 block of SE Green River Gorge Rd., a deputy responded to an overturned vehicle. Upon arrival, the vehicle was observed resting on the driver’s side down an embankment without anyone inside. Contact of the owner revealed that the vehicle was supposed to be parked at a business. According to the owner, who IDed the vehicle, it had been stolen, as no one was supposed to drive it after business hours.

On April 10 between 6 p.m. and 5 a.m. of April 15 on the 24000 block of 204thAve. SE, someone entered an unsecured residence and stole electrical wiring on the floor as well as an electrical pole outside the property.

On April 9 at 12:45 p.m. on the 17400 block of SE 196thDr., a male and female were observed parked outside of a locked gate to a lake that was closed for the season. They proceeded to walk around the gate to go fishing. A neighbor yelled at the male and female stating they had to leave. When the pair returned to the vehicle, the male pulled out a firearm that was holstered, but never pointed it at the neighbor. Both contacted police and following an investigation, the neighbor was told to not contact trespassers and the male agreed not to come back.

On April 9 at 8:45 a.m. on the 29100 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd. SE, a vehicle was observed with numerous cracks in the front windshield. Upon contact, the driver stated he had a suspended license. Check of the male revealed he had an out of state felony warrant. The male was booked into King County Jail for Fugitive from Justice and his vehicle turned over to family.

On April 8 between 4 p.m. and 6 a.m. of April 9 on the 14200 block of SE 170thSt., someone used a rock and threw it through a windowed door to gain entry to a residence. The suspect grabbed a beer from the refrigerator and smoked inside of the residence.

On April 6 at 2 p.m. on the 20400 block of 264thAve. SE, a neighbor was observed going over to a resident’s property and releasing her farm animals. The resident wanted the neighbor trespassed from her property. Upon contact, the male neighbor refused to sign the document, but was told the warning was not nullified by lack of his signature. It was also stressed to the male that he stay off the resident’s property.

Maple Valley

On April 7 at 1:05 p.m. in the area of SE Wax Rd. and SR 169, an officer was dispatched to a possible DUI at a gas station. Upon arrival, the driver was observed leaving the station in his vehicle and then weaving back and forth within his lane. Upon contact, an overwhelming odor of intoxicants was coming from the male. When asked how much he had to drink, the male stated that he had a few. After declining to take the Field Sobriety Tests, the male blew breath samples of .321IR/.314EC & .330IR/.318EC from the Draeger machine. The male was held until his breath sample was below .280, when he was then transported to his residence. The vehicle was impounded, and the male charged with DUI.

On April 6 at 2:10 p.m. on the 22100 block of SE 237thSt., it was reported that a male entered a business, went to an aisle where there was baby formula, placed formula in a basket and then walked around for approximately 10 minutes. The male then entered a bathroom where he placed the formula in grocery bags before exiting the business without attempting to purchase the items.

On April 5 at 9:43 p.m. on the 27200 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd. SE, while attempting to locate a pair of suspects who fled an incident on foot, an officer observed a male wearing clothing described being worn by one of the suspects. As the officer attempted to make contact, the male walked past the officer before stopping. During a frisk, the male took off running to a residence where the resident pushed him outside after the male entered. Check of the male revealed he had been booked a few days earlier for obstructing an officer. The male was booked into Issaquah Jail for Obstructing Police Officer. It was learned later that he was not involved in the original incident.
