Saturday, May 5th saw the youngest drivers compete as they drove in the 1st Annual Mark Lyle Junior Invitational event.
Running in the Junior Thunder class was Tahoma Elementary 5th grader 11 year old Cole Dickhoff of Maple Valley.
This was Cole’s 4th year of drag racingcompetition in his Junior Dragster.
When asked what it was he liked about the sport, he said the sportsmanship and of course having fun.
Cole hopes to someday power down the quarter mile in a Funny Car like his favorite driver NHRA Champion Ron Capps.
I personally think hewill make that dream a reality.
