Black Diamond

On April 29 at 7:04 p.m. near Lake Sawyer, officers were dispatched to an illegal discharge. Upon arriving near the area, it was determined the shots being fired and heard were west of Black Diamond in unincorporated King County in an open shooting zone. No crime.

On April 27 at approximately 10:14 p.m. on the 32300 block of Morgan Dr., officers were dispatched to a hit and run, however they were unable to locate the suspect. Officers contacted the reporting witness and were able to establish probable cause for the arrest of the suspect as the suspect had backed his vehicle into a neighboring vehicle before leaving the scene. Officer’s notified the police agency where the suspect lives and then cleared the scene.

On April 27 at approximately 2:31 a.m. on the 22500 block of SE 296thSt., officers were on patrol when they discovered a vehicle parked at the boat launch. Two juveniles, a male and female, were contacted with neither possessing a valid driver’s license. Officers contacted the female’s parent to pick her up along with the vehicle. Once the female was picked up, the male was given a courtesy transport to his residence where officers spoke with his parent.

Covington

On May 1 at 8:11 p.m. on the 17300 block of SE 272ndSt., an officer was flagged down by a witness, stating a fight was taking place in a parking lot nearby. Upon contact, a male and female were found to be arguing loudly by an ATM machine. After speaking to each separately, it was found that the argument had not become physical. Check of the male revealed a warrant for Possession Stolen Property, 2nddegree. The male was booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) on his warrant.

On May 1 at 2:23 a.m. on the 16200 block of SE 272ndSt., someone broke into a business by prying off metal bars from a window then reaching in through an unlocked window and grabbing product. Stolen items include marijuana joints and containers of marijuana.

On April 29 at 5:21 a.m. on the 16200 block of SE 256thSt., someone appeared to be attempting to enter a business. A window door appeared to be broken in the process.

King County

On May 4 between 4 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. of May 7 on the 30700 block of 312thWay SE, someone entered an unlocked house under construction and cut off the lock to a construction tool box, before stealing approximately $6900 worth of tools from inside. Items included nail guns, table saw, saws, radio, laser, impact driver, grinder, air compressor, battery chargers, and batteries.

On May 4 at 12:20 p.m. on the 24000 block of SE 216thSt., a male was observed walking with his hands in his sweatshirt and face painted white. Upon contact, check of the male revealed a warrant in another city for Assault, 4thdegree, Domestic Violence. The male was booked into the Regional Justice Center on his warrant.

On May 4 at 10:45 a.m. on the 16400 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., someone broke a window to a vehicle that was secured and parked at a park. A purse was stolen from the back seat of the vehicle.

On May 3 at 3:40 p.m. on the 21200 block of SE Green Valley Rd., while checking a park, a deputy observed a double-parked vehicle in a parking lot without a pass that was required for the location. A male and female were observed slouched down inside the vehicle.  Check of the male revealed he had a warrant from another city that was advise and release only at the time. Check of the female revealed several warrants, two of which she was booked for including – Failing to Appear for Domestic Violence Malicious Mischief, 3rddegree, and Failing to Appear for Theft, 3rddegree Attempt/False statement to a Public Servant/and Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer. The male was released, and the female booked into Enumclaw Jail on her warrants.

On May 2 at 11:54 p.m. on the 31000 block of E. Lake Morton Dr. SE, a male, who indicated he wanted to be intimate with a female, was told that she had no interest through text messages. The male, who had not been to the female’s residence, showed up at her residence and knocked at the door. Although the female did not open the door, the male refused to leave when request to leave. The female called 911, before leaving the residence through a different door. Upon contact with both parties, each gave their own version. The male was given a Trespass Warning Letter, which he refused to sign as he stated he was leaving the country but accepted a copy before leaving the area.

On May 2 between 4-6:53 p.m. on the 17200 block of 140thAve. SE, a male, who was hanging around a business asking for money, was asked to leave several times if he was not going to conduct business with the business. The male would leave for several minutes before returning. Upon contact, the male was trespassed from the property and then left.

Maple Valley

On May 2 at 10:30 p.m. on the 22100 block of SE 237thSt., an officer was dispatched for a trespass in progress. Upon arrival, the manager was contacted and stated that the female was still in the bathroom of the business. Upon contact, check of the female revealed she had been trespassed, but stated she needed to use the bathroom. The female was given an additional Trespass Warning Letter and then booked into Kent Jail for Criminal Trespass, 2nddegree.

On May 2 at 1 p.m. on the 22100 block of SE 237thSt., someone reached into a vehicle with the windows rolled down as it was hot out and grabbed a backpack on the seat. Items contained in the backpack included a lap top, wallet containing money and debit card.

On May 2 at 11 a.m. on the 26500 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd. SE, a customer parked his motorize wheelchair near the entrance of a business and then used one of the motorized chairs provided by the business as he needed a basket. Upon return, the customer’s chair was gone. Check of the area ended with negative results.
