BLACK DIAMOND

On 7/17/2018, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a seat belt violation in the 32500 block of 3rd Avenue. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license. The driver was issued a criminal citation and released from the scene, and the vehicle was impounded to Royal Towing.

On 7/17/18, at approximately 2053 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a domestic phone report. Officers contacted the victim who stated her ex-boyfriend had assaulted her. Photos of the victim were taken to document any injuries and a statement was collected. Officers were able to make contact with the suspect who was placed under arrest for assault 4th degree domestic violence. The suspect was booked into the Issaquah Jail.

On 07/20/18, at approximately 1453 hours, a citizen came in to the station to report that his neighbor’s dog, that lives near the 30700 block of 229th PL SE, had apparently gotten into his yard and killed his cat. This case was referred to King County Animal Control.

On 7/22/18, officers were contacted at the Black Diamond Police Station. A resident provided evidence for a crime that occurred in South Carolina. Officers contacted the South Carolina agency and are assisting with their investigation.

On 7/22/18, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle speeding in the 26200 block of Lawson Street. The driver was found to be driving without a valid operators license without identification. The driver was cited and released at the scene, and the registered owner of the vehicle responded to take possession of the car.

On 7/23/18, officers responded to a single vehicle accident in the 29400 block of 216 AVE SE. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The driver of the vehicle suffered a medical emergency, which caused him to drive off the roadway into the trees. The driver was transported, by family, to a medical facility.

On 7/24/2018, an officer was dispatched to the 32500 block of 236th AVE SE for a large bear in the backyard of a residence, eating the reporting party’s chickens. The bear was gone on arrival. Three chickens did not survive the attack.

On 7/24/18, at approximately 2103 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to the 31100 block of 230th PL SE for a verbal domestic. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with all parties involved. It was determined that there was no domestic violence relationship between two male subjects who had been in a physical altercation. Neither individual wanted to press charges. Based on their statements it was determined to be mutual combat. A check for warrants by radio revealed one of the individuals had a King County warrant. The warrant was confirmed, the individual was placed under arrest, and he was transported to 26916 Maple Valley Black Diamond RD SE to meet a King County Deputy.  A King County Deputy took custody of the subject and Black Diamond Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 07/25/18, an Officer was securing and enroute to his residence when he came across a subject lying in the road. The subject was extremely upset and attempted to run into oncoming traffic. The officer was able to get ahold of the subject and calm her down until units from the King County Sheriff’s Office arrived and took custody of the subject.

On 07/26/18, at approximately 08:41 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a vehicle theft report. Officers were advised that a female wanted contact at her residence in the 29200 block of 229th AVE SE to report that someone stole her 2007 Volvo XC-90 sometime over the night. Officers arrived at the residence and took a theft report.

On 07/26/2018, at approximately 1913 hours, officers responded to a welfare check. Officers responded and determined that the subject needed to be involuntary committed. Tri-Med transported the subject to Enumclaw Hospital. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 07/27/2018, at approximately 1339 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speed. Upon contact with the driver it was determined that the drivers license was suspended. The driver was cited and released and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

On Sunday, 07/29/2018, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 25600 block of Lawson ST for a speed violation. Upon investigation, it was determined that the 29 year old male driver was under the influence of intoxicants. The driver was arrested and the vehicle impounded.

On Sunday, 07/29/2018, Officers responded to the scene of a single vehicle collision in the 29700 block of 224th AVE SE. Upon investigation, it was determined that the collision was the result of an impaired driver, a 17-year-old male. The driver was arrested, and the vehicle impounded.

On 7/30/2018, an officer was assisting the Kent Police Department on mutual aid when he was dispatched to an animal complaint in the 11200 block of SE 235thPlace in Kent. A pit bull dog entered the RP’s backyard and attacked his dog. Officers were able to safely remove the RP’s dog and contain the pit bull. King County Animal Control was to be contacted in the morning to remove the pit bull.
