The last crews have left the scene of the Covington area brush fire that started last Sunday. The cause of the fire was burning material from a “bee smoker” landing in the dry grasses. The fire is considered accidental.
While 10 acres of brush were burned, no structures of any kind were damaged.
Puget Sound Fire would like to thank the firefighters from throughout the region that responded to this incident. Their help and expertise kept this incident from becoming a much larger event.
