Black Diamond Police Reports Updated 9-18-18

On Monday, 08/20/2018, between 1:20 and 2:07 p.m. Officers responded to a request for an agency assistance call in stopping a vehicle with Felony Assault suspects in the 30600 block of 224thAve. SE. After investigation, it was determined that the individuals in the vehicle were not connected with the reported assault. They were able to provide information to the Officers investigating regarding the identity of the individual involved, and were released at the scene.

On 08/20/2018, about 1 p.m. an officer took in a station report of a mother not securing her children in a car seat on several occasions, while driving in the Morgan Creek neighborhood. The report was forwarded to CPS.

On 8/20/18, between 4 and 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the 25200 block of Merino St. for a report of two vehicle’s spinning their tires on a gravel driveway. Officers contacted the drivers and found one vehicle was stuck and the second vehicle was attempting to pull them out. The drivers filled in the potholes and were able to recover the vehicle without damage to the driveway.

On 8/20/18, between 5 and 6 p.m., officers responded to the 31100 block of 3rdAve. to recover a stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been located outside the city and towed to its current location before it was discovered to be stolen.

On Tuesday, 08/21/2018, about 4:55 a.m., Officers stopped a vehicle in the 22400 block of SE 288thStreet for a speed violation. Upon contacting the driver, it was determined that he was driving with a license status of Suspended in the Third Degree, and was using a counterfeit Trip Permit. The driver was cited and released at the scene.

On 8/26/2018, between 2:20 and 4:45 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a speed violation in the 30700 block of 3rdAvenue. The 23-year-old male driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for DUI. The vehicle was impounded, and a handgun was seized from the driver’s person. The suspect was booked into the Issaquah Jail.
