Black Diamond Police Reports

On 9/2/18, between 3 and 4 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle and found the 25-year-old male driver had a suspended license. The driver was cited for driving on a suspended license.

On Sunday, 09/02/2018, Officers were dispatched to the Black Diamond Elementary School in regard to a report of problems with juveniles entering the school yard, and turning on stage lighting. Officers conducted an area check and were unable to locate the individuals involved. Additional patrols in the area were conducted overnight.

On 9/3/2018, about 2:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to a business in the 32600 block of Railroad Avenue for an assault report. A 55 year old male suspect was identified and was later charged with two counts of Assault 4th degree.

On 9/3/2018, between 4 and 4:15 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 25600 block of Olympic Lane for a 2 year old child locked in a vehicle. Royal Towing was called to the scene and the child was ultimately released from the car.

On 9/4/2018, about 4:35 and 5 P.m., an officer was dispatched to a possible residential burglary report in the 25800 block of Cumberland Way. Upon arrival, the officer was told that it was actually a family member who had entered the house and forgot to close the back door. No crime.

On 09/04/18, between 6 and 6:45 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the 25200 block of Kanaskat Drive in Black Diamond for a suspicious vehicle. Upon contact, it was determined the subject was hiding from his in-laws and didn’t want to be home. He decided to leave and find a better place to watch his movie. No crime.

On 09/05/2018, between 8 and 9 p.m., at approximately 2057 hours, Officers were advised by a citizen that a vehicle was off the road and in a ditch near the 26500 block of Green River Gorge RD. When officers arrived the vehicle was unoccupied and they determined that the vehicle was stolen. King County Sheriff’s Deputies took responsibility for the vehicle because it was in unincorporated King County. While investigating the scene, officers contacted a subject walking toward the area of the stolen car. Officer identified the individual and determined that he had a felony warrant. Officers cleared the scene and booked the subject into SCORE Jail.

On 09/07/18, at approximately 0759 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a commercial alarm in the 24300 block of Roberts DR. Officers arrived on scene and discovered the door was unlocked. Officers searched the building, no one was found inside. Officers found no signs of forced entry, theft, or damage. Officers made contact with maintenance personnel who locked the door and turned off the alarm. Officers returned during business hours and confirmed with employees that nothing was missing or damaged.

On 09/07/18, about 11:50 a.m., at approximately 1146 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint in the 31500 block of 3rd AVE. Officers were advised that a truck was dragging a bicycle northbound on 3rd AVE. While enroute, officers were advised the vehicle had made it out of city limits. Officers conducted an area check northbound on 3rd AVE and were unable to locate the vehicle.

On Friday, 09/07/2018, about 10:20 p.m., Officers stopped a vehicle in the 28300 block of SR 169 for a speed violation. Upon investigation, it was determined that the 28 year old, male driver was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants. The driver was arrested, and the vehicle impounded.

On 9/8/18, at approximately 1716 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a phone report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers made contact with the reporting party in the 32100 block of Botts DR. The reporting party advised a flatbed truck with a white cab and red logo had backed down Botts DR two separate times and appeared to be casing the neighborhood. He stated the driver of the vehicle was contacted and stated he was from Tacoma and just looking around. Officers took an informational report.

On Saturday, 09/08/2018, about 8 p.m., at approximately 20:43, an employee was approached by two males who offered to trade drugs for a pizza. When the driver refused the offer, one of the males ripped the sign off the driver’s vehicle and cut the power cord and then drove off. The employee got the license plate and the case is under investigation.

On Sunday, 09/09/2018, about 2:10 a.m., Officers contacted a disabled vehicle in the 29300 block of 216th AVE SE. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle, a 27 year old male, was under the influence of intoxicants. The driver was arrested and the vehicle impounded.

On 9/6/2018, about 8 p.m., a Black Diamond Officer assigned to the Major Crimes Task Force was called out to respond to the City of Duvall for an armed robbery at a pharmacy. The robbery included the assault of a customer, and the theft of oxycodone drugs. The Black Diamond Officer responded and assisted with the investigation, which is on-going.
