On Saturday March 16th, from 10-11:30 at the Lake Wilderness Arboretum, join Native Plant Steward John Neorr on a leisurely walk through the Arboretum’s beautiful natural areas including the Tribal Life Trail. As he leads this tour, John will discuss various native plants, their characteristics, ethnobotanical uses, and how you might include them in your landscaping.
Hardy Washington native plants are adapted to our dry summers and cool wet winters. They provide habitat and food preferred by our local birds and butterflies as well as being attractive specimens in your yard.
This tour is free and open to the public. The tour will start at Arboretum’s nursery located at 22520 SE 248th in Maple Valley, WA. See lakewildernessarboretum.org for more information about the Arboretum.
