King County: At approximately 2:47am on April 13, 2019, Washington State Patrol (WSP) dispatch received a 911 call advising of a one car injury collision NB I-5 in the Duwamish curves, MP 156.
According to investigators, a white 2001 Nissan Maxima was traveling at a high rate of speed in the curve, went out of control and struck the barrier on the right side of the freeway twice. The 36 year old passenger suffered serious injuries to include a fractured spine and was transported to Harborview Medical Center. The 38 year old male driver suffered a broken arm and was transported to Valley Medical Center. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for investigation of Vehicular Assault. The driver was booked into the King County Jail after being released from the hospital.
