Black Diamond Police Reports Updated 4-23-19

On 3/35/19, at approximately 0312 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to an agency assist. Dispatch advised a King County Deputy was out with a stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Enumclaw and the registered owner lives in Black Diamond. Officers were able to make contact with the registered owner and pass her contact information along to the King County Deputy, who was out with the vehicle.

On 03/25/19, an officer responded to the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Roberts Drive for a non-injury single vehicle collision. The investigation revealed that the driver was turning left from Roberts Drive onto 3rd Avenue and inadvertently drove into the culvert on 3rd Avenue.

On 03/25/2019, an officer took a phone report in which the reporting party was contacted by a subject who identified himself as an employee of the Social Security Administration. The subject requested the reporting party’s social security number, stating it had been stolen.  The reporting party provided the subject with her social security number and is now concerned she is the victim of a scam.

On 03/26/19, at approximately 10:28 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a potential road hazard in the 21800 block of SE 288th ST. Officers were advised that a subject called 911 to report that trucks leaving the City of Kent Watershed were leaving mud on SE 288th ST and the subject believed it was a road hazard. Officers arrived in the area and found a very minimal amount of mud on SE 288th ST and determined that it was not a road hazard.

On 03/26/19, at approximately 2002 hours, Officers responded to the 32100 block of 3rd AVE regarding a civil standby. Upon arrival, officers investigated a possible firearms violation but determined that no crime had occurred. Officers allowed the reporting party to collect his personal property. The reporting party left the residence and officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 3/28/2019, an officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of Railroad Street in Enumclaw for an assault in progress with the Enumclaw Police Department. The officer arrived on scene and provided security to the Enumclaw Officer while he investigated the incident. Several minutes after clearing the scene, police were called back to the location to trespass the intoxicated victim of the assault. Scene security was provided by Black Diamond, with no other actions being taken.

On Friday, 03/29/2019, Officers were contacted by an individual who wished to report a vandalism. Officers were able to obtain photographs of the damaged vehicle, and a report was filed.

On 3/29/19, at approximately 1544 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint in the 32400 block of 5th AVE. Officers located the suspect who has an active warrant out of Black Diamond. The suspect fled on foot, officers were unable to apprehend the suspect.

On Saturday, 03/30/2019, Officers contacted a vehicle in the 21900 block of Lake Sawyer RD SE. Subsequent investigation determined that the 37 year old, female driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and booked into jail, and the vehicle impounded.

On Saturday, 03/30/2019, Officers assisted a citizen with a dog that had been located on 3rd AVE. King County Animal Control Unit arrived on the scene and took custody of the dog and were successful in locating the owner.
