McCoury Moves to Leadership Position

Editor, the VOICE:

Life is full of beginnings and endings and any of you that have read my articles over the years know I am an agent of change. Well, here I go again. With mixed emotions, I am moving to the next stage of my career and out of practice. I am no longer seeing patients at Wilderness Animal Hospital and will now be working in a leadership position with the group that purchased Wilderness Animal Hospital two years ago, Lakefield Veterinary Group. I chose to sell to Lakefield because it is a family owned company that places emphasis on providing high level patient care and taking care of its employees. I am looking forward to working with the group of Lakefield hospitals, sharing what I have learned and continuing to learn as I follow my new career path.

I am leaving Wilderness in very capable hands, and I am looking forward to seeing the doctors and staff continue to do great things as Maple Valley bursts at the seams. I have worked with some amazing people in my career and the Wilderness team is no exception. Maple Valley is lucky to have such a compassionate and talented group providing care to their pets. I will still be involved in a small part with Wilderness Animal Hospital and you might see me stop by occasionally.

I have so enjoyed being part of the Maple Valley community, and have such fond memories of attending the Farmers’ Market, walking in the parade following the FFA and so much more. Most importantly, I wanted to thank all the wonderful clients, it has been my honor to have you trust the care of your family pets to me over the years. You and your pets will always have a special place in my heart!
