Black Diamond Police News Updated 10-14-19 to 10-20-19

On 10-14-2019, at approximately 0320 hours, officers took custody of a subject with a City of Black Diamond Warrant from Auburn Police Department. Officers transported the subject to Issaquah Jail where he was booked on his warrant.

On Monday, 10/14/19, at about 1255 hours, an officer was contacted while at the Black Diamond Police Department regarding a fraud report. The investigation thus far determined that the issue is civil. The reporting party was provided with information on what to do if it becomes a criminal matter. All parties involved were advised accordingly.

On 10-16-19, at approximately 09:57 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a theft from a construction site.  Officers were informed that someone stole copper wire from a residence being built in the 32800 block of Maple AVE SE. Officers contacted the Supervisor in charge of the construction site and found that the wire was inside the house and stolen sometime between 16:00 hours on 10-15-19 and 07:00 hours on 10-16-19.  There is no suspect information.

On 10-16-19, at approximately 2157 hours, Black Diamond Officers were conducting routine patrol at the Lake Sawyer boat launch when they discovered a vehicle with two occupants parked at the boat launch. Officers contacted the subjects, identified them, and advised them the park was closed. The subjects stated they understood and left the area. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 10-20-2019, at approximately 0020 hours, officers were dispatched to the 21700 block of SE 291st ST. It was initially reported as an illegal discharge/possibly fireworks. Officers made contact with residents at a loud ongoing party in the area and found no evidence of an illegal discharge or fireworks. Officers advised the residents of the laws regarding discharging firearms/fireworks within the city as well as the ordinance regarding noise. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 10/20/2019 an officer responded to the 29000 block of 216 AVE SE for a subject making threats and harassing an employee. The subject left before police arrived and could not be located. The subject was identified and will be receiving a citation.

On 10/20/2019 officers responded to the 22200 block of SE 295 PL for a report of a hit and run accident. The witness was able to obtain a license plate number for the vehicle. Officers tracked down the vehicle and located the driver. The investigation is ongoing.
