Jules peacefully passed away in Puyallup, WA on May 13, 2020 with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Valley Stream, NY on March 9, 1940 and was welcomed by his parents Julius and Alice, and three-year-old sister Carole.
He graduated from Central High School in 1957, then went on to receive a BS in Chemical Engineering at PINY, Brooklyn, and an MS in Mechanical Engineering at RPI in Troy, NY.
Jules married Loretta Rizzo of Rosedale, NY in 1961 and left for Utah to serve 2 years as a 1st Lt in the US Army Chemical Corps.
In 1963 the couple settled in East Granby, CT and he began his career at Combustion Engineering.
In 1977 Jules accepted a job with Weyerhaeuser. They packed up and drove across the US to Maple Valley, WA with their 3 children. Over the years he received numerous awards for his work with recovery boiler programs and finally retired in 2002.
Throughout his life Jules enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, travelling, tinkering, music, theater, and volunteering at GMVCC and MVCAC, but most of all spending time with family.
He was always smiling, kind, generous, and a friend to all. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Jules will forever be missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Lorrie of 58 years, daughters Lorraine and Julie, son Michael, daughter-in-law Kathleen, and grandsons Zach, Braden, and Andrew.
