Pictured is the 6 of the 7 person team of seniors who worked to improve the Traffic Triangle Garden, located on.the Maple Valley Hwy, near the fire/police stations. They worked in both 80 degree sun and 60 degree cold to complete the project by May 31st.

The Garden was planted by the Late Bloomers Garden Club 13 years ago and has been maintained by club members ever since, as their gift to the community.  The Department of Transportation owns the traffic parcel, and the City of Maple Valley has jurisdiction over it.

Burlap bags from  “Distant Lands” Coffee Roaster in Renton donated the used bags, which were used to smother the weeds and restore the paths. Chip was donated by the Lake Wilderness Arboretum, loaded by Bob Wahlberg with a front-end loader.
