BD Reports 7-13 to 18, 2020

On 7/13/2020 an officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation in the 30400 block of Kummer Avenue. The driver was found to be driving under the influence and was arrested. After executing a blood warrant at the hospital, the suspect was booked into the Issaquah Jail. The vehicle was impounded to the Enumclaw Police Department’s impound lot with the intention of applying for a search warrant.

On 07/13/2020 officers were requested to do a paper service in the 22000 block of SE 288th Street. Papers were served and the subject retrieved some of his personal belongings and left the residence.

On 07-13-2020, at approximately 2002 hours, officers responded to the 31100 block of 3rd AVE for a neighbor complaining of a vehicle being parked in his driveway. When officers arrived, they found no parking violations and the neighbors agreed to stay away from each other. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 07-13-2020, at approximately 2328 hours, officers were dispatched to a noise complaint near Hemlock AVE and SE Fir ST. When officers arrived they contacted the individuals involved and were advised of the noise ordinance. Both the subjects and officers cleared the area without incident.

On Tuesday, 07/14/2020, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 31400 block of 3rd AVE for a traffic violation. Subsequent investigation determined that the driver was under the influence of intoxicants. The driver was arrested and the vehicle impounded.

On Wednesday, 07/15/2020 Officers responded to a business in the 700 block of Stevenson AVE in regard to a request for assistance from the Enumclaw Police Department with a commercial burglary in progress. Officers assisted with clearing the building.

On 7/15/2020, Officers were dispatched to an admin detail to confirm a City of Black Diamond warrant on a subject who was in the custody of Auburn PD. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was directly booked into The Score Jail by Auburn PD.

On 7/15/2020, officers responded to the 25200 block of Park St for a report of a subject in a van handing an object to a subject on a skateboard. The reporting party believed it was a drug deal but waited thirty minutes before calling police. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or subject on the skateboard.

On Wednesday, 07/15/2020, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 1000 block of Roosevelt AVE E in Enumclaw in regard to a request for assistance with the theft of a trailer from a vehicle dealership. Officers secured the initial scene and assisted with the initial investigation.

On Wednesday, 07/15/2020, Officers assisted the Enumclaw Police Department with contacting an individual who was reporting harassment. During the investigation, Officers identified the suspect in the incident, and he was subsequently detained near the scene. The suspect was arrested on an unrelated warrant, and transported to the Enumclaw Jail for booking.

On 7/17/2020 an officer was dispatched to the area of Morgan Street and Minor Street for a report of a black bear in the roadway. The officer arrived moments later and found the bear had run off into the woods.

On 7/17/2020 officers were dispatched to a civil standby request with the reporting party requesting they meet at the Lake Sawyer Grocery Store. When the officers arrived they placed the RP under arrest for a prior court order violation that had occurred the night before. The suspect was transported to the King County Jail and booked on investigation of felony no contact order violation.

On Saturday, 07/18/2020, Officers stopped a vehicle for a speed violation in the 22400 block of SE 288th ST. Subsequent investigation determined that the driver was under the influence of intoxicants. The driver was arrested and the vehicle released to a licensed driver at the scene.

On 7/18/2020, Officers was dispatched to the area of Roberts DR and Railroad AVE regarding a vandalism report. Offices arrived in the area and found that the old Black Diamond Railroad Bridge had been tagged with a Patriot Front US tag along with a Patriot Front flag. Notifications were made to remove the graffiti.

On 7-18-2020, at approximately 1132 hours, Black Diamond Officers contacted a subject sleeping on the ground behind the bus stop on Baker ST. Officers determined the subject did not need medical aid. However, he did not have anyone to call to help him get home to Auburn. Officers gave the subject a courtesy transport to a bus stop in Maple Valley and provided him funds for bus fare.
