Tote was born on September 26, 1923. He grew up in Ravensdale where he was raised by his Mother Rosie. It was in Ravensdale that he met the love of his life Lillian Litras. They were married in the midst of World War 2 and their marriage spanned over 70 years.
Tote would enlist in the military and Lillian and him would move to Delaware where he was stationed and became an airplane mechanic. His daughter Marsha was born while he was stationed in Delaware. They would move back to Ravensdale at the end of World War 2 where they would live most of the remainder of their life.
Tote would take the skills he learned as an airplane mechanic and turn them into a career as an auto mechanic. In 1951 they welcomed their son Frank to the family.
Tote would take a break from his auto mechanic career to partner with his wife Lillian in the restaurant business – when they bought and ran the Black Diamond Drive in for 5 years.
Tote was beloved and cherished by many family members and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Marsha and son, Frank and his husband Scott as well as (4) grandchildren: Joel Marangon, Todd Marangon and his wife Cheryl, Jessica Boynton and her husband Brandon, Tristen Hohn and her husband Mike as well as (13) great grandchildren. He is also survived by many Litras and Markus in-laws and nephews and nieces.
