Trunk or Treat at Pacific Raceways on Halloween Day could not have turned out better. This year, due to the virus the annual event was a drive through “Zombie Land at the Raceways”. The event grew from 500 in 2019 to 2000 including 1400 children in 2020. Total candy distributed was 938 pounds. Race cars were decorated from the different teams, with some skeletons behind the wheel. There were many different costumes including Harry Potter to the Mandalorian.
Also on display were Fire Trucks, Police cars and even a Hydroplane. The line to get into the event went from the start of the drive thru by the main office as far back as the entrance to the track itself. At the end of the drive Heather Straus of Straus Arts Photography was on hand to capture each participant that made it through “Zombie Land” with a photo to remember the day.
