Reagan Dunn Kicks Off His Campaign For Re-Election To The King County Council With Hundreds Of Supporters

This morning, nearly 500 people gathered virtually to support Reagan Dunn’s campaign for re-election to the King County Council.

“I was absolutely floored by this show of support for my re-election to the King County Council and deeply appreciate the friends and supporters who joined me this morning for my kickoff,” said Dunn. “There’s a lot of work to be done in King County. My focus is on delivering common sense solutions that keep our communities safe and usher in an economic recovery as we continue to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Dunn’s campaign kickoff featured testimony in support of Dunn from special guests, including Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler, Former Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna, Kent Mayor Dana Ralph, Renton Council President Ruth Pérez, Bellevue Councilmember and former Mayor Conrad Lee, Bellevue Council-member Jennifer Robertson, King County Police Officers Guild President Mike Mansanarez, and KVI 570 Morning Host John Carlson. Dozens of additional local elected officials were also in attendance.

As a Councilmember, Reagan has led efforts to support addiction recovery, combat homelessness, fight crime, protect our environment, advocate for our veterans, and fight against human trafficking. Dunn has voted against more tax increases than any other member of the County Council and prioritizes county spending by standing up against waste and government inefficiencies.

Dunn, a former federal prosecutor, Assistant U.S. Attorney, and Justice Department official, is focused on stopping the dramatic rise in homicides and shootings in King County. In addition to public health and public safety, Dunn’s vision is to focus on economic recovery during and after the pandemic by investing in our local economy and working with small and large businesses to recover lost jobs. He also prioritizes providing County aid to residents who are struggling during the pandemic.

Dunn’s re-election has been endorsed by every mayor within County Council District 9 and many other state and local leaders from across the political spectrum. The King County Council is a non-partisan elected body.
