Black Diamond Police Reports 1-25 to 2-7, 2021

On 01/25/2021, an Officer handled a citizen assist at the 25500 block of Lawson St. The Officer contacted the complaint and answered questions and gave guidance.

On 01/26/2021, an Officer responded to the 23400 block of Windy Ct in reference to a past burglary that occurred at the 32700 block of Ash Ave SE. It was determined that a burglary did take place and there was a theft from the home.

On Wednesday, 01/27/2021, Officers were dispatched to the 31500 block of Lake Sawyer RD regarding a motor vehicle theft report from the parking lot of the trail head.  Owner advised he left the keys in the vehicle when he left to go on a hike and when he returned, the vehicle was gone. There are no suspects at this time.  Vehicle information was given to surrounding agencies.

On 01/27/2021, officers responded to the 22800 block of SE 307th PL regarding a a reported vehicle prowl. It was reported that an unknown subject had made entry to the victim’s vehicle and when confronted, fled the area. Officers conducted an area check with negative results. There is no suspect information and no items were taken. Officers cleared the call without incident

On 01-28-21, at approximately 09:50 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a theft from a mailbox. Officers were informed that the victim wanted to be contacted by telephone.  Officers called the victim who advised that someone forced entry into her locked mailbox in front of her residence sometime between 16:00 hours on 01-27-21 and 07:00 hours on 01-28-21. The victim believes that the suspect may have stolen some of her mail; although, she is not certain. Officers advised the victim to take all necessary precautions to protect herself from identity theft. There is no suspect information.

On 01-28-21, at approximately 11:17 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a welfare check of a homeless female in a vehicle with a dog.  Officers were advised that the female was parked in the 25400 block of Kanaskat DR and had been there for the past 24 hours. Officers conducted an area check and located the female and her dog. The female was in fact homeless and ran out of gas.  Officers filled up a gas can an with fuel that was donated by the Cenex Gas Station. Officers then provided the homeless female with fuel for her vehicle. Officers then led her to the Black Diamond Community Center for food and clothing. After the subject received food, clothes and blankets, she was provided with two $10.00 gift cards for the Cenex Gas Station. Officers followed the female to the gas station where she purchased essential items before driving to the Kent Community Center.

On 1/29/2021, Black Diamond Officers responded to the 2700 block of Justice Pl, to assist the Enumclaw Police Department regarding a possible shooting that occurred in their city. Officers arrived and provided assistance with scene security and traffic control while EPD conducted their investigation.

On 02/03/2021, Officers were dispatched to the 330 block of W North Bend Way in regard to a request for assistance from the Snoqualmie Police Department with an investigation into a suspicious death. Officers responded and assisted with processing the scene.

On 02-04-21, at approximately 08:45 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a theft from a motor vehicle. Officers were advised that the victim wanted telephone contact to report that someone opened up the door to his vehicle that was parked in his driveway and stole numerous items at 03:30 hours. Officers received a list of the stolen items and King County AFIS processed the vehicle for fingerprints.

On 02-04-21, at approximately 11:15 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a theft from a motor vehicle. I was advised that a female called to report that someone opened up the doors to her car and her husband’s car that was parked in their driveway sometime between the hours of 03:00 hours and 05:00 hours. Officers were advised that $15.00 cash and a center console cup holder was stolen from one of the vehicles. King County AFIS arrived at the scene and processed one of the vehicles for finger prints.

On 02-05-21, at approximately 15:15 hours, Officers made contact with a subject at a residence in the 23400 of Cinder CT to inquire if he had surveillance video of a suspect stealing items from a vehicle across the street from him on 

02-04-21.  The subject did not have any surveillance video; although, he stated that the suspect also opened the door to his vehicle parked in his driveway. The suspect did not steal any items; although, the suspect left a small black flashlight on the front passenger seat.  The flashlight was taken into evidence for latent print examination.

On 02/06/2021, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 26000 block of Lawson ST when a check of the vehicle registration showed the registered owner had a license status of Suspended in the Third Degree. After verifying that the owner was the one operating the vehicle the driver was cited and released at the scene.

On 06/06/2021, an Officer was dispatched to the 32600 block of Maple Ave SE in reference to suspicious activity. It was determined that there was an attempted car prowl in Ten Trail at an unknown address.  The victim of the attempted prowl did not report the prowl and instead posted photos of the attempted prowl on Facebook.

On 02/07/2021, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 28800 block of 216th AVE SE for an equipment violation. Subsequent investigation determined that the driver had a license status of Suspended in the Third Degree. The driver was cited and released at the scene.

On 2/7/2021, an officer attempted a traffic stop in the 24800 block of Morgan St due to a vehicle not having any lights on the rear of the vehicle during darkness. The vehicle did not stop and fled from the officer. The driver has not been identified.
