Black Diamond Police Reports July 19 to 26, 2021

On 07/19/2021, officers took an informational report regarding a minor collision that occurred on private property near the 30200 block of 224th AVE SE. The parties involved exchanged information and officers cleared the call without incident.

On 7/19/2021, an officer responded to the 30800 block of 228 AVE SE for a fraud report. The suspect impersonated the victims boss and requested the victim buy gift cards and provide the claim codes. The officer assisted the victim with the process to recover some of the lost money. The investigation is ongoing.

On 7/19/2021, an officer responded to the 32900 block of Railroad Ave for a report of CPR in progress. The officer arrived shortly after the fire department. The patient was treated on scene.

On 7/20/2021, an officer was advised of a reported stolen vehicle that had been towed to the 31100 block of 3rd Ave. The officer checked the vehicle and conducted a stolen vehicle recovery. The owner was contacted to retrieve his vehicle.

On 07/20/2021 Officers responded to the 32600 block of 1st AVE in regard to a noise complaint involving a motorcycle. Officers contacted an individual who was testing a repaired motorcycle. He agreed to lower the amount of noise.

On 07/20/2021 Officers were dispatched to a request for contact via phone regarding an individual who wanted to report an unknown person pointing at their residence in a suspicious manner.

On 07/21/2021 Officers were dispatched to the 32200 block of 3rd AVE in regard to a report of a domestic dispute. Subsequent investigation determined that an assault had occurred and a suspect was arrested and booked into the Enumclaw Jail.

On 7/21/2021, an officer was dispatched to a phone report regarding a dispute/ possible road rage that started in Cumberland,Washington and continued through the City of Black Diamond. The RP stated that she confronted a female that was following her vehicle and taking pictures. The RP reported the other female accused her of being with her husband before driving east out of the city.

On 07/24/2-2021, officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle near Roberts DR and 3rd AVE. The reporting party advised that they had seen a vehicle that had red and blue flashing lights mounted to the rear-view mirror and and they believed the vehicle had attempted to pull them over. This case is under investigation.

On 7/24/2021, an officer responded to the 25500 block of Lawson St for a fire. The officer confirmed the fire was out and no one needed medical attention. The fire was determined to be accidental.

On 07-25-2021, while conducting patrol in the Ten Trails Development near the 33100 block of Holly AVE SE, officers observed a potential theft in progress at a construction site. Officers made contact with the individual, determined that he was stealing plywood, and arrested him. He was booked into Enumclaw Jail on charges of Theft 3rd Degree.

On 07-25-2021, officers were dispatched to the 31900 block of Lake Sawyer RD regarding an unwanted subject. The reporting party believed that the subject was setting up a campsite on the side of the road. Upon contacting the subject, officers learned that he had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. Upon taking him into custody, the subject resisted officer. However, he was taken into custody shortly after. the subject was transported to King County Jail on his warrant.

On 07–25-2021, officers were dispatched to confirm a possession of stolen property warrant on a suspect that King county Sheriff’s Office was out with. Officers located and confirmed the warrant. The subject was booked into Issaquah Jail.

On 07/25/2021, officers responded to a vehicle collision into a house near the 32700 block of Madrona AVE SE. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the vehicle had been accidentally placed into drive while the owner was cleaning it. Officers photographed the scene and facilitated an exchange of information. Officers cleared the call without incident.

On 07/26/2021, officers took a phone report regarding a theft via gift card scam on 07/21/2021. The victim was told that to get a discount on a rental car she should purchase an American Express gift card and provide the card numbers to them. In the end it turned out to be a scam. At this point there is no suspect information and the case will be placed in an inactive status.
