Tahoma Girls Swimming & Diving: won the West Central District III 4A

The 2021-22 Tahoma HS Girls Swim and Dive team represent qualities of collaboration, collective hard work, teamwork and solidarity. They went undefeated in their district, The 2021-22 Tahoma HS Girls Swim and Dive team represent qualities of collaboration, collective hard work, teamwork and solidarity. They went undefeated in their district, won the West Central District III 4A Meet for the first time, and even more impressivly, claimed the 4A State Championship trophy. In addition, the team broke several school records (200 free relay, 500 free, 100 breast, 200 IM) and qualified eight swimmers for the State Championships. The team has over 30 swimmers including 11 seniors who have spent the majority of their adolescent and teen years in the water, swimming thousands of miles.

This amazing year represents a culmination of their hard work, team bonding, and dedication to a sport. At Tahoma, swim meet cheers are tradition and the same cheers go back many years as an iconic tribute to the current members of the team, as well as those who swam for Tahoma in years past. Outside of the water, many of the girls are taking honors and AP classes as well as Running Start. Their cumulative GPA is a 3.7 and many of these girls hold leadership positions within their community and high school, including ASB, and student clubs (DECA, Drama, We the People, etc.).
