Nostalgia Drag Racing, Anyone?

If you miss the good ole days of drag racing then this weekend is for you.  This Friday and Saturday May 20th -21st Pacific Raceways will be hosting the Inaugural “Full Blown Frenzy” presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts.  The two-day racing excitement will feature nostalgic front-end dragsters and roadsters returning to the quarter mile.  In addition, there will be the eighth mile grudge machines of West Coast Grudge MOB 275, and West Coast King. 

The infamous BB Funny Cars will be there too. Also, on the schedule to make an appearance will be the Nitro Nostalgia Funny Car of Tim “Hitman” Eickstadt. Then taking on the track will be teams from Western 348/409 Club, and a 32-car field of 1978 and older drag racing machines. Headlining a special appearance is the EFX Sports Tomahawk Jet Car driven by Derek Snelson.  Overseeing the two-day event as honorary Grand Marshall legendary Top Fuel driver Jerry “The King” Ruth.  He will have a car display, and will be available for autograph sessions both days.  Tickets for the event are $15 on Friday, $20 for Saturday or a “Super Ticket” for both days for $30.
