Drag Racing Returns to the Northwest

Get ready this weekend May 19th-21st as Pacific Raceways opens the 2023 Drag Racing Season with the 2nd Annual Full Blown Frenzy.  This year being presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts. The legend of Northwest Drag Racing Jerry “the King” Ruth will preside as the Grand Marshall for the event. The day’s racing excitement will include vintage dragsters and roadsters along with Pro Mods, Nostalgia Shifters, two classes of 1978 and older ET cars, the X-275 grudge cars, and a 389/409 vintage Chevrolet class.  If that isn’t enough then how about the Funny Cars of Shane Hunter, Kim Parker, Chris Davis and Tim Eickstadi taking on the quarter mile. Can’t forget Derek Snelson and the “Warhawk” Jet Funny Car. Not enough? Then how about the sights and sounds of nostalgia fuel and gas cackle cars for added action. Bracketstars will be hosting a car show with 18 different trophy classes for all to take in.  Last, but not least, live music provided by Soul Stripper. Tickets are on Friday $15Saturday and Sunday are $25 per day.  A Super Ticket for all three days is $50, or a Two-day ticket for $40.  Gates open on Friday at 5 PM with racing until 11 p.m. under the lights.  Saturday and Sunday gates open at 9 a.m. with all the racing excitement until 5 p.m.  Should you care to recall the “good ol’ days of drag racing and relive those memories then this is your weekend.  It looks to be a big event and one not to miss. If you need any more information on this event or the rest of the 2023 Racing Season then check out www.pacificraceways.com.
