On 10/31/2023, officers were dispatched to a civil standby, that was later discovered to be a verbal domestic dispute. The incident occurred at the 22800 block of SE Fir ST. Officers investigated the incident and determined that no crime had occurred. Officers provided the involved parties with resources and cleared the scene.

On 10/31/2023, Officers were flagged down by a citizen regarding a missing child while conducting a foot patrol in the Ten Trails Development. Officers conducted an area check for the child and found negative results. Officers determined this incident occurred outside of city limits. King County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and provided with the information. Officers were later informed by the citizen the child had returned home safely.

On 11/1/2023, Officers were on patrol in the 22800 block of SE Sycamore St in the Ten Trails Development and located an unsecured residence. Officers attempted to contact the homeowner but had negative results. Officers checked the residence and eventually contacted the homeowner with the assistance from an Enumclaw Officer. Officers advised the homeowner of an unsecured garage door. Officers determined there was no criminal activity and cleared the scene without incident.

On 11/01/2023, Officers were advised that graffiti had been found inside the men’s bathroom at the Black Diamond Police Department. Because the station was open for Traffic School, a large number of individuals had access to the bathroom earlier in the evening.

On 11/2/2023, Officers were dispatched to the 34000 block of Enumclaw Black Diamond Rd SE regarding a welfare check. A caller told 911 they drove past a car with a single occupant needing help. Officer arrived on scene and assisted the occupant of the vehicle by clearing it off the roadway. Officers additionally provided the occupant with local resources. Officers determined that no crime occurred. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 11/02/2023 Officers were dispatched to the 31100 block of 3rd AVE in regard to a request for assistance from an individual attempting to obtain access to an impounded vehicle in order to obtain ownership documentation.

On 11/04/23 at approximately 2037 hours, officers were dispatched to the 32000 block of 3rd Ave in reference to a noise complaint of music. Officers contacted the responsible parties, who turned the music down without issue.

On 11/04/2023, at approximately 21:32 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Roberts Dr and Morgan St. Officers learned that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license and did not have identification with him. Officers placed the driver under arrest and found a small bag containing what was believed to be a controlled substance in the driver’s pocket. The driver was booked into Enumclaw Jail for No Valid Operator’s License without Identification and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On 11/05/2023, Officers were dispatched to an agency assist in the 31100 block of 3rd AVE. King County Sheriff’s Office requested an officer attempt to make contact with the registered owner of a vehicle their deputies were out with. Deputies were concerned the registered owner’s license plate may have been stolen. Officers made contact with the registered owner and learned he had sold the vehicle approximately two weeks ago. Officers relayed this information to the King County Sheriff’s Office and cleared the scene.

On 11/06/2023, Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Walnut AVE SE and Ten Trails PKWY SE for an animal complaint. It was reported a dog at large had attacked another dog being walked by its owner. Officers located the dog, the owner was not on scene. Officers requested King County Animal Control respond, while waiting for King County Animal Control the dog attacked another dog being walked. Officers deployed OC spray on the aggressive dog. The owner of the dog was located and he was able to gain control of his dog and take it home. King County Animal Control arrived on scene and Officers exchanged information for their report (Case# A-23-0064481). Officers cleared the scene.

On 11/06/23, at approximately 14:34 hours, Officers received a late hit notification for a stolen motorcycle parked at the 31100 block of 3rd AVE. Officers responded to the area and located the vehicle, which was confirmed stolen out of Seattle. Officers conducted an investigation and learned that a resident in the area purchased the motorcycle from a subject a couple weeks earlier and did not know it was stolen. During the investigation, Officers also discovered a confirmed stolen trailer out of Renton. This investigation is ongoing.

Officers located the source of the music and advised the responsible party of the complaint and municipal code pertaining to the issue. No further issues occurred.

On 11/11/2023 at approximately 2004 hours, an officer located a vehicle pulled to the shoulder in the 23000 block of Roberts Drive with the driver side door open. Upon approach it was discovered the driver was experiencing a bladder issue, and pulled over to relieve them self. The driver was advised of the municipal code for restricting such actions in public.

On 11/11/2023 officers were dispatch to the 24000 block of Terrace Place in reference to a CPR in progress. Upon arrival the patient was alert, Mountain View Fire and Rescue arrived and took over the scene with no issues.

On 11/12/2023, at approximately 18:38 hours, Officers discovered a recently deceased deer blocking the road at the 31000 block of Ravensdale Black Diamond RD SE. A passerby submitted a Washington State Roadkill Salvage Permit on scene. Officers assisted the passerby in taking possession of the deer. Officers were unable to locate the damaged vehicle and cleared debris from the road.

On 11/13/2023, officers were dispatched to a welfare check at the 32800 block of Willow Ave. Dispatch advised that a subject was passed out in a parked vehicle on the side of the road, but had just left the scene. Officers conducted an area check with negative results.

Officers confirmed the subjects identity and stood by while the subject collected their wallet. Officers provided the subject with a courtesy transport to Maple Valley.

On 11/13/2023, officers viewed an unlicensed dark gray BMW sedan driving westbound on Roberts DR at the 29300 block. Officer activated their emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop. The gray BMW then accelerated at a high speed. Officers did not pursue the eluding vehicle.

On 11/15/2023, Officers contacted a suspicious vehicle in the 31900 block of Lake Sawyer RD SE. Due to the concerns of the driver’s mental state, he was returned home to his family. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 11/16/2023, Officers were dispatched to the 31100 block of 3rd AVE regarding a parking complaint. A caller advised they observed two vehicles blocking handicap stalls. Upon arrival, officers found the vehicles to be legally parked with valid disabled parking placards displayed.

On 11/16/2023 at 0704 hours, Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched via Valley Communications for reports of a Theft of Property from a Motor Vehicle. The victim’s wallet was taken from inside the vehicle overnight and Officers are conducting an investigation.

On 11/16/2023, Black Diamond Officers responded to the 21400 block of SE Falcon Way to assist the King County Sheriff’s Office with an incident at Kentlake High School. The school was cleared with no issues found. KCSO is continuing the investigation.

On 11/26/2023, Officers were dispatched to the 30400 block of 3rd Ave regarding a citizen assist. A caller advised dispatch they were stuck inside the location after hours. Upon arrival, Officers assisted the caller and allowed them to exit. Officers determined there was no crime and cleared the scene without incident.

On 11/17/2023, an officer contacted a subject who was known to have an outstanding warrant, in the 30200 block of 224th Ave SE. The subject was taken into custody and booked into a correctional facility without incident.

On 11/17/23 an officer responded to the 31100 block of 3rd Ave for a report of a subject breaking windows on a vehicle. The officer found the subject was breaking windows out of his own vehicle and no crime was committed. A report was completed for information.

On 11/19/2023, Officers were dispatched to an auto theft report in the 22800 block of SE Fir ST. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the reporting party who is the registered owner of the vehicle. She had tracked the vehicle to NOFFKE Towing in Pacific. Officers were able to confirm the vehicle was in NOFFKE Towing’s possession. Officers documented the vehicle theft, provided the registered owner with a case number, and cleared the scene.

On 11/19/2023, Officers were dispatched to a suspicious subject in the 22900 block of SE Cherry ST. The reporting party advised three African American juvenile females had knocked on her door. The reporting party did not answer and was concerned due to community posts on social media which explained similar circumstances involving criminal activity. Officers arrived on scene and were able to locate three juvenile females matching the description. Officers found no reasonable suspicion to support crime had, was, or was about to occur involving these juveniles. Officers contacted their adult sister by phone and advised her of the contact.

On 11/19/23, at approximately 17:49 hours, Officers located an male subject at the 31500 block of 3rd AVE. Officers determined the subject had several misdemeanor warrants out of other jurisdictions. When Officers attempted to contact the subject, he got into a vehicle, which drove away from the area. King County was advised of an address in Maple Valley the subject was possibly staying at.

On 11/22/2023, Officers were notified by FLOCK Safety of a vehicle with stolen plates entering the City of Black Diamond in the 30400 block of 3rd AVE. Officers conducted an area check and were unable to locate the vehicle.

A caller advised dispatched they were crying and wanted to go home to India and requested to speak with an Officer. Officers spoke with the reporting party in person and determined they may be in need of counseling and non-emergency postpartum care from a Doctor. Officers provided them with professional resources. Officers found there was no criminal activity nor was the criteria met for an involuntary commitment.

On 11/23/2023 at approximately 2119 hours, officers were dispatched to the 23000 block of Alder Lane SE in reference to a 911 hang-up. Officers found no evidence of a crime had taken place and parties on scene were uncooperative with the responding officers.

On 11/24/2023 at 0900 hours, Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to a Welfare Check at the 25300 block of Peach LN to check on the well being of a resident at a nearby home. Upon arriving, Police were greeted by the homeowner and realized police no medical services were needed. Officers left the scene shortly after.
