On 12/27/23, officers were dispatched to a verbal domestic in progress at the 23100 block of Alder LN. Officers responded to the scene and investigated the incident. Officers determined that no charges would be filed. The involved parties separated, and Officers provided resources.

On 12/27/2023 Officers were dispatched to a business in the 30400 block of 3rd AVE in regard to a report of an attempted break in. Officers detained two individuals, one of whom was subsequently arrested and transported to the Enumclaw Jail for booking on a charge of malicious mischief in the third degree.

On 12/27/2023, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 33000 block of SE Stevens St. for a subject reporting that he had killed his wife and was waiting for police with an AR-15 and Pipe Bombs. Officers responded appropriately and through investigation found the call to be a “swatting” call, also known as false reporting. The residents of the home confirmed they were out of town and no one was at the location. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 12/27/2023, Officers received a FLOCK alert of a stolen vehicle that was seen travelling southbound in the 30400 block of 3rd Ave. Officers conducted an area check for the vehicle and found negative results.

On 12/28/2023, Officers were on patrol in the 23600 block of SE Regency St. within the Ten Trails Development. Officers located an unattended suspicious vehicle parked in an area that is still currently under development. Officers determined the vehicle was at risk of being vandalized. The vehicle was then impounded by Royal Towing.

On 12/28/2023, officers responded to the 33400 block of Liberty Ave for a report of a disturbance. Officers determined one individual was suffering from a mental health or medical issue. This individual was transported to a hospital for evaluation.

On 12/28/2023, officers responded to the 29200 block of 216 AVE SE for a FLOCK camera hit of a stolen vehicle driving through the city. The officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

On 12/28/2023, officers responded to the 22800 block of SE Fir St. to collect evidence from a prior crime. The evidence is being submitted to the crime lab for analysis.

On 12/28/23 at 1714 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to a Traffic Complaint at 33000 block of SE Stevens ST. It was reported that an erratic driver was seen swerving in and out of on coming traffic. Officers were able to later locate the vehicle and driver and determined through their investigation that the driver was impaired. The driver was taken into custody and Officers cleared the scene without further incident.

On 12/28/2023, Officers were dispatched to the 32700 block of Madrona Ave SE regarding an unsecured residence. A caller advised the front door to their residence was open. Officers checked the residence and found no signs of criminal activity. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 12/29/2023, Officers were dispatched to a commercial burglary in progress in the 25600 block of Lawson ST. It was reported a subject could be seen attempting to break into the building via the ring camera. Officers arrived on scene and checked the location, the subject was not on scene and the building was secure with no signs of attempted entry. Officers located the subject in the 32600 block of 3rd AVE, he was identified, and questioned. Officers determined no crime had been committed and advised the reporting party of their findings
