On 01/17/2024, Officers responded to a welfare check at the 32500 block of Railroad Ave. The complainant requested a welfare check of his mother at that location. Upon arrival the mother was located and she advised that she would call her son.

On 1/19/24 at 1533 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was assigned a Welfare Check for a resident at the 32700 block of 2nd Ave. Upon arrival, Of- ficers determined no one was home and was able to locate a phone number for the resident. Officers spoke with the resident and determined police and medical services were not needed and cleared the scene.

On 01/19/2024 at approximately 1607 hours, an officer preformed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 25800 block of Lawson Street for expired vehicle registration. The officer identified multiple offenses, including the drivers license being sus- pended in the 3rd Degree. Appropriate citations were issued on scene.

On 01/19/2024, officers were dispatched to the 22400 block of SE 288th St., in reference to a vehicle swerving within the west bound lane of SE 288th St. Of-ficers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle described.

On 1/20/2024, Officers responded to the 28300 block of 216th AVE regarding a vehicle in a ditch, which was located by an off-duty officer. Black Diamond Officers arrived on scene and determined the area belonged to King County Sheriffs Office (KCSO). KCSO later arrived and took over the scene. Officers cleared without incident.

On 01/20/2024, at approximately 00:35 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop at the 31500 block of 3rd AVE. Officers discovered that the driver’s license wasSuspended/Revoked in the 2nd Degree. The driver was booked into Enumclaw Jail for DWLS 2nd Degree.

On 01/20/2024, at approximately 02:40 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop at the 31700 block of 3rd AVE. Officers discovered that the driver’s license was Suspended/Revoked 3rd Degree. Officers issued the driver a criminal citation for DWLS 3rd Degree. The driver made arrangements for a licensed driver to take possession of the vehicle.

On 1/21/24 at 1709 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department con- ducted a Traffic Stop on a vehicle at the 29200 block of 216th Ave SE for expired registration. Upon investiga- tion, Officers determined the driver had a suspended license and non- insured. The Officers issued a citation for the suspended license and issued an infraction for no insurance, giving a break on the expired registration due to the driver not being the registered owner. The driver contacted a licensed driver to retrieve the vehicle.

On 1/21/24 at 1734 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dis- patched to a deceased individual due to a long time illness at the 22000 block of SE 288th ST. Upon arrival, Officers conducted an investigation and determined no foul play was involved and reported the death to the medical examiner. Family mem- bers made further arrangements for the evening and Officers cleared the scene.

On 1/22/24 at 1559 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to the 31100 block of 3rd Avenue for an unwanted juvenile playing in the reporting party’s driveway. Upon contact, Officer’s spoke with the juvenile and mother. Officers were advised they would be leaving for home and were just visiting the neighbor. Officers advised the report- ing party of the result and left the scene.

On 1/22/2024, an officer received a report of a license plate stolen from a vehicle in the 22800 block of SE Fir St. The license plate information was entered into WACIC/NCIC. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

On 01/22/2024, Officers were dispatched to the 31600 block of 3rd Ave refer- ence to a vehicle accident. It was determined that the accident took place at the intersection of Roberts Dr. and 3rd Ave. A Washington State collision report will be completed.

On 01/22/2024, Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 31300 block of 3rd Ave for a speed violation. During the investigation of the stop, it was discovered the driver had an outstanding warrant with King County Sheriffs Office. Officers took the driver into custody and he was later booked into King County.

On 1/22/2024, Officers were dispatched to a welfare check at the 32100 block of Union Dr. A caller advised a male had not returned home earlier in the evening. Upon further investigation, it was discovered the male did not reside within the City of Black Diamond the situation did not meet the criteria for a missing persons report. Officers provided the reporting party with guidance and cleared the scene.
