On 3/10/24 at 2348 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was flagged down for an Accident involving possible injury near the 28200 block of 164th PL SE in Kent. Officer’s contacted the sole occupant involved who stated he was involved in a hit and run and the suspect vehicle who t-boned his vehicle, fled. Officer’s advised Covington Police of the incident, due to it being in their jurisdiction, and asked the fire department to respond for an evaluation for injuries. Officer’s stayed with the driver until his father, Covington Police, and Fire arrived. Covington Police took over the incident from there and Black Diamond Officer’s cleared the scene.

On 3/11/2024, Officers received a notification from the FLOCK system for a stolen vehicle in the 29200 block of 216th AVE SE. Officers responded to the area and conducted an area check. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. **********
On 03/12/24, officers observed a vehicle driving with a defective headlight at the 24500 block of Morgan St. Upon contacting the driver, officers observed the driver’s DOL driving status was suspended in the 3rd degree.
Officers issued the driver a criminal citation and cleared the scene. **********
On 3/13/2024, officers attempted to perform a welfare check in the 32000 block of Morgan Drive on a student who had not been at school for nearly a month.Officers contacted the student’s family who confirmed they were refusing to go to school, and were moving to live with a different family member.

On 03/14/2024 Officers were dispatched to a residence under construction located in the 33100 block of Liberty AVE SE in regard to a report of a theft of construction equipment overnight. Officers were advised that several items had been moved inside the residence, but that the only items taken were two electrical cords. A case report has been completed, the incident is under
investigation.

On 3/15/24 at 1844 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was notified via e-mail that a a vehicle affixed with two stolen license plates had entered the city and notified Flock camera #2 at Summit DR and 3rd Avenue. Officers located the vehicle at Old Lawson and 3rd Avenue traveling southbound. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop with the vehicle at 34800 block of Enumclaw-Black Diamond RD but the vehicle failed to yield to Officer’s emergency lights and sirens. The vehicle continued to flee at a high rate of speed and was last seen at the 36800 block of Enumclaw-Black Diamond RD. Officers did not pursue the vehicle and notified Enumclaw PD and the King
County Sheriff’s Office.

On 03/16/2024, at approximately 22:30 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop at the 29900 block of 220th AVE SE. Officers determined that the driver was under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs. The driver provided officers with a false name and date of birth. Officers arrested the driver andobtained a search warrant for a sample of the driver’s blood. The driver was booked into the Enumclaw Jail for DUI and Refusal to Cooperate with an Officer.**********
On 03/17/2024, Officers were dispatched to a report of a possible DUI in the 24700 block of Roberts DR. Officers located the vehicle in the 23600 block of Roberts DR. While behind the vehicle officers observed the vehicle cross over the centerline by approximately half a tire width and then over the white line by approximately half a tire width. A traffic stop was conducted in the 32800 block of SE Stevens ST. Officers conducted standardized field sobriety tests and did not find probable cause to make an arrest. Officers released the driver and
cleared the scene. **********
On 3/17/24 at 1557 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle at the 32600 block of 3rd Avenue for speeding 43mph in a 25mph zone at the 25600 block of Lawson ST. Upon contact, Officer’s discovered the vehicle had a cancelled title and an insurance total loss. Officer’scited the driver for cancelled title and issued an infraction for their speed. Officer’s cleared the scene.

On 3/18/2024, officers responded to the 32500 block of Newcastle Drive for a report of a suspicious circumstance. The homeowner believed one of theircameras had been moved and there was a light on inside. Officers checked the
residence and found it was secured.
