Black Diamond Police Reports

On 4/13/24 at 2312 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle that did not have their license plate properly affixed to the rear of the vehicle. Upon receiving the return for the plate that was in the rear window, Officer’s were advised the license plate was listed as stolen and belonged to a different vehicle. Officer’s arrested the driver for possession of stolen property and booked them into Issaquah Jail. The driver was issued an infraction for driving without a valid driver’s license, no insurance, and not having a plate properly affixed to the rear of the vehicle. Drug paraphernalia was visible in the vehicle and the vehicle was impounded for a warrant to recover the stolen plate and drug paraphernalia.

On 04/13/2024, Officers were dispatched to the 32500 block of 3rd Ave regarding a music complaint. A caller advised there was loud music coming from this location occupied by renters. Officers contacted the renters and provided them with a copy of BDMC public noise disturbances. The renters advised they will lower the volume of the music. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 4/13/2024, at approximately 22:22 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop at the 30900 block of 3rd AVE. After an investigation, officers determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The driver was booked into the Enumclaw Jail for DUI Under the age of 21.

On 4/14/2024, at approximately 02:42 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop at the 32600 block of 3rd AVE. Officers discovered that the driver had a license that was Suspended/Revoked 3rd Degree. Officers issued the driver a criminal citation for DWLS 3rd Degree.

On 04/14/2024, Officers responded to the 29200 block of 216th Ave SE reference to a Flock camera hit for a stolen license plate (B43532G). The vehicle, an older Chevrolet SUV, was caught on camera traveling south on 216th Ave with the above listed rear plate attached to it.  A search of the area was done and the vehicle was not located.

On 04/14/2024, an Officer was dispatched to 32744 SE Cottonwood St reference to an order violation. The complainant/petitioner advised that she obtained a temporary protection order against her former husband/respondent and that on 04/12/2024 her former husband sent her an e-mail and that today he called her on their phone.  I conducted a check of the order and found that it had not been served on the respondent and thus no crime had taken place.

On 4/14/24 at 1740 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to a Welfare Check that a mother requested after not hearing from her children while with their father, stating the father was not following the parenting plan. Upon contacting the father, Officer’s discovered he and the children did not live at the address given by the mother. Officer’s advised the Police Department in the father’s jurisdiction to conduct a welfare check on the children. Officer’s cleared the scene.

On 4/14/24 at 2232 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department was dispatched to an Admin Detail at the Police Department after Auburn Police Department recovered a stolen license plate that was affixed to a stolen vehicle and needed to confirm the stolen plate was still outstanding. The stolen vehicle and stolen license plate was related to a case that Officer’s had been investigating since 4/12/24.

On 04/15/2024, Officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 32700 block of 3rd Ave. A subsequent investigation found the driver had a suspended license. A criminal citation was issued to the driver.
