This Friday June 7th Pacific Raceways will be opening the Quarter Mile drag strip to all High School racers at the 53rd Annual All-High School Drags. This year being presented by Green River College, and presented by Cornwell Tools. In addition to all the Puget Sound area High Schools competing on the track, there will once again be the ever popular “Burnout” contest. If that is not enough then how about seeing if you can outrun the King County Sheriff in the “Beat the Heat” race. That’s right you get to go one on one with the best of the county’s law enforcement officers. Event prizes for the winner, a $2000 Green River College scholarship, and tool box from Cornwell Tools, and the all-important “bragging rights”. The Second-place finisher receives a $1000 scholarship. In addition, there will be an Alumni Class for those 25 years and younger to compete in. Spectator tickets are $20 or $15 with an ASB card. Gates open at 1:00 P.M. with racing till 10:00 P.M. So, get a group together and head out to the track for a great day of fun and racing on Friday June 7th, and for all you drivers and crews let’s see what you got!
